Again, I do not agree with you, in all those cases in the article the use is of the actual title, it is not intended to be descriptive and therefore should be capitalised. Ecrm87 ( talk) 20:46, 10 December 2022 (UTC)
- @ Ecrm87 I'm not sure what you mean by "actual title" (what would another kind be?), and by the manual in the section I cut out they are descriptive because of the definite article. It also says that such titles "are capitalized only
- a) when followed by a person's name to form a title
- b) when a title is used to refer to a specific person as a substitute for their name during their time in office"
- c) … "is not preceded by a modifier (including a definite or indefinite article)"
- In the passage we're dissecting, no title is followed by a proper name (a); none is substituting for a specific duke, margrave or king – they're generic for any duke etc. who holds the title (b); and they all have the definite article 'the' in front of them (c).

- Very well, based on Britannica's usage I'll concede the titles. What I won't concede however is state name capitalisation, at no point is it united states of America, therefore it should always be Kingdom of, not kingdom of.

Removal of markup from Gustav Ritter von Kahr

- @ W.andrea All of the markup changes (except the bolding, my bad) were deliberate choices on my part to remove what I consider to be unnecessary clutter. But they do seem to be standard, so I'll leave them be in future translations.
- I backed out your links to "dictatorial" and "coup" as everyday words that shouldn't be linked; see
MoS Linking under 'What should not be linked'. I also don't think Bavaria (especially since it puts 3 links in a row), minister president or Hitler need to be linked since they're either well known or self-explanatory, but I'll admit there's more reason to use them there.

- Removing "dictatorial" and "coup" works for me; I wasn't sure about adding them in the first place. I should mention though, I'd never heard of a minister president before today. And I think it's important to link Bavaria since in historical articles, place names can sometimes be deceptive (like, say, "Russia" meaning the Russian Empire instead of the Russian Federation). — W.andrea ( talk) 23:17, 8 February 2023 (UTC)

I'd also like to take this opportunity to commend your re-write of the Prussian State Council article and your creation of the new article on the Prussian State Council (Nazi Germany); this was long overdue and was masterfully done. If I may, I would like to request that you add an English translation (or at least a German version that could be copied into a translation app) of the Law on the State Council. This would be extremely helpful in providing a clearer picture of the council and its composition. Also, please note that the referenced version in the article seems to be missing the last page; the article references Article 15 but that is not in the cited copy. I have searched but have been unable to locate a better version. I am hoping that your well-demonstrated bilingual research abilities can manage to find one. - As for the Prussian State Council page, I tracked down Article 15 in the text of a document that has some significant differences from the one in fraktur that's referenced now. As soon as I figure out what's behind that, I'll add a translation. It's a good idea for a document that's relatively short. - When I first came across the article it was in ruins. Most sections barely had any information. And used the same sources. I dlund and used newer sources to expand the sections about Bohemia. And am currently rewriting tge Northeastern Germany and Holstein section. The section about the Livonian Confederation doesn't even include anything about the Ostsiedlung. So in short the article needs a major expansion and improvement. Hopefully along the way it'll also become a GA article. Crainsaw ( talk) 05:40, 13 July 2023 (UTC)
