Additional welcome

May I add my welcome to the above and just let you know that new talk page comments are put at the bottom of the page rather than the top. Thanks -- BozMo talk 16:26, 8 April 2011 (UTC) reply

Hello Flavia,

I'll echo the comment above from another user. Please add comments to the bottom of talk pages, rather than the top. That keeps them in chronological order from old to new. You can click the "New section" tab at the top of talk pages, and it will be done automatically. I moved your recent message from the top to the bottom of my talk page, but it is no big deal because all this is new to you.

I reviewed the changes you made to Save the Children, but I am not sure why your efforts to add references didn't work. It doesn't show up in the editing history. I suggest you try adding a few references manually before using automated tools. That will give you a better understanding of the syntax so that you can review the editing code when you run into a glitch.

I am in the process of writing an essay with some Tips for new editors. Though it isn't done, I have a section on references. Try the most basic method and see if it works for you. You can experiment on your sandbox page. Let me know if you have troubles.

Hi Flavia,

Welcome to Wikipedia.. I found your remarks on the "Save the Children" page. The best "rule of thumb" is to ensure you are using sources when you intend to post. If not, users will probably delete them. Look into "Zotero," a popular tool to manage links you find while researching if you have any trouble. One other useful tip: News.Google.Com (type in a search term) and change it to "Custom Range" on the left. That is a wonderful way to find "old newspapers / articles" to use as sources. Google Books also helps (if screenshots are available). Good luck!
