Why has an article I wrote some months ago not been indexed for Wikipedia search yet? I realize that it's not done in real-time, but a lag of several months seems strange to me.
- What's the article name ? Every article is accessible immediately upon creation.

- Thanks for your response. The article is "Thomas Sancton, Sr.". I can access the page if I use this exact phrase in the search box, but nothing comes up if I just use "Sancton" or "Thomas Sancton". Isn't Wikipedia indexed in such a way as to allow key word searches of just part of the name of the article? Thanks again

- As far as I know, it is the case, and it should return the entry from its content as well, so this is quite puzzling. I tried creating a "redirection" from
Thomas Sancton, but I'm not all too sure that's going to help.

- Thanks for your help. Is there anyway I can delete the page and then recreate it, in hopes of having it indexed then? In the absence of that, is there anyone who might know how to fix the issue?

- I suppose you could get an admin to do that, though I think you will find it hard to get heard. There isn't any good place to make such a request, administrators are not supposed to deal with technical issues, let alone very minor ones by deleting articles, let alone not knowing if that will fix the problem. I have no idea how to contact developers or network/database admins who would be able to pinpoint and fix the problem, but I highly doubt any of them would want to spend time on such a minute issue.
