SwissCelt, I have started assessing WP:Youngstown articles. You can view the project page at Wikipedia:WikiProject Youngstown/Article Classification. I have assessed about half of the Youngstown-related articles and will work on the rest in the coming days. If you come across a Youngstown-related article which hasn't been assessed, please feel free to do so. Artles needing assessment can be viewed at Category:Unassessed Youngstown articles. Thanks, Daysleeper47 00:56, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
Enjoy your trip; it's looking good! SandyGeorgia ( Talk) 02:56, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
I read your comments on the USS Constellation wiki, and don't quite understand your attitude. Literally. Were you being cynical, matter-of-fact, or what? I'm not trying to be critical of your contributions, its just that you wrote about how the ship was given a nickname as if it was foolish or.. something. I don't know. I was a sailor aboard the Connie (as we all called her) for a couple deployments and a few sea trials. This has no bearing on your article, I know, but I am trying to point out that regardless of origin, the ship was called the "Connie" by the sailors aboard it. There were a few variations: USS Constipation, Rusty Bitch, etc, but thats about it. Nothing anymore official than that.
Anyways, if you have any questions about the ship, feel free to ask or try to contact a sailor that has the answers.

Hi could you have a look at the top image I added to this article, I keep getting bugged by a bot saying it will be deleted. It's a free to use image, I've burnt a credit into the pic, and tried to meet the criteria, but I'm still being told it's going to be deleted. Can you look at this for me? Thanks Escaper27 13:05, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

Hey, thanks for the nice shiny; that was very kind of you! I checked in on the FAC to see why it was stalled, and it doesn't look like you all have gotten back to Tony. Did you address all of his concerns? He is a very good copyeditor and prose reviewer, and one of your Supports is from ... someone with a colorful history ... so what you really need at this point is to satisfy Tony1 ( talk · contribs) and get him to strike his oppose. If he's satisfied, I'll Support as well, since I consider him the CopyEditor Supreme. Best regards, SandyGeorgia ( Talk) 00:32, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the help. I am a new user and had no idea that using college logos on my own user page would be a problem. I will remove. Dawginroswell ( talk) 17:44, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the note on the Elmer Gedeon talk page. The source I've found indicate that only 2 MLB players died in combat in WWII. The reference to four in the Joe Gedeon article does not inidicate on its face that it is limited to WWII. Perhaps that refers to four dying in combat in all wars? Also, the SABR biography on Joe Gedeon does tie him into the Black Sox scandal (describing him as the "ninth man out," and someone may want to add that info to his article. See: [1]. Hi Daysleeper, I asked Djrobgordon to give Youngstown Ohio Works a second look. He nominated this piece as a good article several months ago. The nomination went nowhere, but the article was featured on Baseball Portal. A few of the B-class articles related to Youngstown might benefit from a peer review, or even informal feedback from experienced editors. Articles that come to mind are Jimmy McAleer, John Reese, and Billy Evans. There may be a couple others. When you have a chance, let me know your thoughts. Best, twelsht ( talk) 18:45, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
Next time you remove a section without first following procedures, I will have you permanently barred from Wikipedia. I wrote the section and it is completely accurate an unbiased as reported. You are a fool and a vandal and I will be closely monitoring your activities on anything I write. Stop vandalizing the FDNY page on the Air Support Controversy. If you were actually literate you would see that the citations to the section are contained within it. It is a summary of a report that was presented using FDNY and NYPD documents by WABC-TV (NY). It contains nothing added, no weasel words, but simply a recantation of what was reported on national television. If that is not good enough for you, sit on a Halligan Tool. I have forgotten more about NYPD and FDNY than you will ever learn. NITWIT!
And if you take it out again I have 50 other people who will re-add the same section.
The helicopter is pending and it says so in my addition. STOP BEING A VANDAL. All you do is diminish the already tarnished reputation of Wikipedia. It is full of imbeciles like you that believe in the concept of ignoring the facts if you don;t like them. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.84.38.12 ( talk) 00:40, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of 44th New York Volunteer Infantry Regiment, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.albany.edu/faculty/aballard/civilwar. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot ( talk) 14:54, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

Hi, Daysleeper, Several reviewers recommended that the Youngstown Ohio Works article go straight to an FA nomination. Since this is part of the Youngstown Wiki Project, I wondered if you would be interested in nominating it. The piece has been revised and expanded, based on the feedback of several reviewers. One FAC committee member has pledged support in advance. So, it's probably as ready as it will ever be. Best, -- twelsht ( talk) —Preceding comment was added at 19:08, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
Hi, Daysleeper, I've been tweaking this article on a Youngstown-born baseball figure for the past couple of days. While Jimmy McAleer doesn't have the number of references found in Youngstown Ohio Works, most of the material is supported with citations. When you have a chance, look it over and let me know what you think. Don't hesitate to recommend ways to improve it! This article might be a potential GA nominee down the road. Thanks, again, for all your help! -- twelsht ( talk) 18:16, 11 December 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Logo EastwoodMall.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the " my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot ( talk) 20:26, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
