An invitation to join WikiProject Ohio

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:Wikipedia requested photographs in Sheffield Lake, Ohio, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:Wikipedia requested photographs in Sheffield Lake, Ohio has been empty for at least four days, and its only content has been links to parent categories. ( CSD C1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:Wikipedia requested photographs in Sheffield Lake, Ohio, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Request to photograph Comair headquarters

Hello! I have contacted you because you are in the category "Wikipedians in Cincinnati." I would like for someone to photograph the corporate office buildings, including the Comair General Office Building, the Comair corporate headquarters at 77 Comair Boulevard, and the building at 82 Comair Boulevard, both in Erlanger, KY, at Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky Airport. Since Comair is shutting down on September 29, 2012, I would like for someone to take this photo as soon as possible. I do not want for the Comair markings to be taken off of the buildings. If you want to, please photograph the Comair buildings. Thanks WhisperToMe ( talk) 04:23, 28 July 2012 (UTC) reply

Norwood Carnegie library

Thanks for your edits to List of Carnegie libraries in Ohio. I've suspected something was wrong in that list's handling of Norwood, but I've been waiting to get my hands on the offline sources to fix it. It seems likely to me that there was only one Norwood Carnegie library built, not two as the list says. As I understand it, Norwood has always been independent of Cincinnati, so the library would have been built by Norwood with its own independent grant from Carnegie, not as a branch of the Cincinnati library. Does that sound right? Ntsimp ( talk) 18:00, 26 September 2013 (UTC) reply

Right, Norwood is it's own city separate from Cincinnati, but the Norwood library is a branch of our county-wide library system so, yes, it is just one building. I just went upstairs ( I work at the library ) and grabbed some books and I'll probably make some more edits to the list later when I have some time. DaveMenninger ( talk) 18:17, 26 September 2013 (UTC) reply
Thanks. I've gone ahead and fixed the list. Sounds like you would be the perfect person to add a freely-licensed photo of the building. Ntsimp ( talk) 18:31, 26 September 2013 (UTC) reply

Disambiguation link notification for December 11

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Cincinnati, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages David Mann, Kevin Flynn and Chris Seelbach ( check to confirm |  fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

2019 US Banknote Contest

US Banknote Contest
November-December 2019

There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons.

In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate.

If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions here
