Hi Daniel! This is Carrie - I contributed your cuisine section in the last edition of the guidebook. I've been writing and revising most of the articles here on Malagasy history and culture. It's good to see you're pitching in too. Hope all is going well with the next edition and the library. Best wishes,

Thanks Carrie. I hope you are well! I've been tinkering with Wikipedia over the years but mostly without an account but not to the extent of your authorship. Anyway, I thought it was about time I set up a proper account. The writing is going fine. I've just published Madagascar Highlights[1] which will be available to buy from next month. It's a new, full-colour guide being published in parallel with the other one as this one caters mainly to those on organised tours while the other is aimed more at backpackers and independent travellers. Later this year, I will start work on the 11th edition of the original guide. As for the Madagascar Library, I have a big backlog of stuff to catalogue! Are you still doing your Malagasy video recipes?

Hi Daniel - somehow I never saw your response here. Good luck with the library, and congrats on the Madagascar Highlights book! I hope to be able to find a copy on my next trip to Mada in July. Hope you've been well. I'm not adding to the videos for the moment due to slow internet connection speeds and the lack of ingredients available in Rwanda. I'll be back in the States for five weeks in August before moving on to my next assignment in Pakistan, so I hope to have the chance to record some then with recipes freshly perfected in Mada on the July trip. I see you've had to go through and correct the spelling of Hilary's name everywhere I put it - so sorry for the oversight! I hope she's doing well. Any chance you'll be in Mada in July? It would be great to meet up for drinks.
