I noticed that you rated the Ortmann article as "Start" class today in the course of rating a number of Wisconsin articles. If you have a minute, I'd appreciate your giving the article a second look. It has in-line citation to ten different sources, an info-box, photograph, and fairly full coverage of his life. I saw this manga on the wikiproject:anime and manga page on a list of requested articles, so I looked it up and started an article about it. Next day, I saw that it was already suggested to be deleted. I understand why people would want to delete it, since it's so short and doesn't cite any references yet. But I have a question: If I put a link to at the bottom of the article, which is where I read it, would that be considered a reference? It is where I got the information, but I don't know if it would count or not. Thanks. A pyrate's life for me... ( talk) 15:19, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

I'm concerned about your asking Littlebutterfly to help you improve the History of Tibet article to Good Article status. I think that is beyond Littlebutterfly's capability.
Littlebutterfly's research skills are poor.
On the History of Tibet article previously, he (or she) kept rewriting cited information, putting words into the mouths of historians such as Schirokauer that they never said.
In addition, Littlebutterfly wrongfully accused me in the PLA invasion article of using self-published sources. She (or he) never checked to see to see if this were true. Once proved wrong, she continued to persist. I will be a good source to improve the article as I read Tibetan and am researching Tibetan history as we speak. Longchenpa ( talk) 00:46, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
Regarding Knaus, LB does not get to deploy the strategy she used before, dictating the sources used and how many. I will not accept that. You're coming into this late, and so you do not know that LB demanded -- one after another -- ten sources for the word "invasion." And was fully prepared to make it an infinite number, defining anything other than "all" as "some."
Now she is attempting to dictate the sources that can and cannot be used. That is completely unacceptable. You are being tricked. She's trying to include Conboy (her source) and exclude Knaus (the source I provided), when they both address the same issue. Knaus interviewed the Tibetans. Conboy did not. Excluding Knaus excludes the Tibetans. We can provide more sources for the atrocities, but do not play into this game. You are bending over backwards to be cooperative and to sooth her, and I appreciate your motive, but I am not going to accept any editor playing little dictator on the sources. I'm willing to bet that Thegreyanomaly and Yunfeng won't either.
One editor never gets to pick the sources of another so long as they are credible. Or else I would have Goldstein out of there in a heartbeat. Longchenpa ( talk) 16:06, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
I'm glad to see you welcoming new members to the Tibet project. I would feel more comfortable with your invitations if I could see you inviting any of the long term Tibet editors at all. Longchenpa ( talk) 17:04, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
Whoo-hoo! Already confused! That didn't take long. Anyway, I just want to make sure I have the right idea here. Hi Gimme danger, I have just seen the revert of you on the New Kadampa Tradition article. I have a similar problem with the Dorje Shugden article. There came a group of new editors who made substantial changes without discussing any of it, omitting verified sources and including sources from anonymous web-pages. I like to ask you to have a look on it, to give your comment or to revert until there is a discussion on the changes at the talk page. You can see from the history how the things developed, that the substantial and radical changes by Helen37 even were reverted by the WPRobot, and that no one of the new editors discussed on the subject matter to come to agreement. Thank you very much for your time and help. I sent a similar message to user:Amerique. -- Kt66 ( talk) 12:44, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
Hi Gimme danger, as you can see from the talk page there was not any discussion on the points, instead one of the new editors wrote: "here is no need to have your single approval for a change when there are many people who regularly edit this article. You are the only editor who supports this revert war to your version of the article. Please note that I did not make the changes but feel they vastly improve the clarity of the article."; that's why I informed other editors of the article which participated in the past, and I left a notice at the Admin notice board, after an editor suggested this. I hope that procedure is correct, someone wrote, I should not Spam editors, I didn't know that. Thanks for your attention, -- Kt66 ( talk) 20:34, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

As I perused the blogosphere while attempting to procrastinate, I came across a long, extremely critical text on Wikipedia by a poet whom I admire named Dan Schneider.
I'd be curious to know a dedicated Wikipedian's (read: you) response to what Schneider has to say.
Anyways, you can find his article here:
[redacted blacklisted site]
A lot of what he says seems to be true, particularly with respect to edit-wars and stifling true exchange of information. (I'm just lucky semitic philologists aren't an especially bellicose bunch.)

Character conception sections are about how the characters were created, what they're based on, etc, while reception sections are about stuff like comments from different polls, magazines, so on. Is this right? Ichliebezuko ( talk) 14:35, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
Thanks so very much for your adoption offer. I would be more than happy to accept. I can't wait! Check out my page for some of my interests. Thanks!

I am very interested in articles concerning panic attacks, and would like to contribute by writing/editing them. I would also like to poke around in the backlogs. I really hope to do some good things here. Thanks! Cameron K. ( talk) 15:31, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
Question: I want to merge 'Purple Drank' into the 'Recreational Uses' section of 'Codeine'. I'm going to follow Wikipedia Policy and BE BOLD and go ahead and merge it. So, should I delete the Purple Drank page after merging it into Codeine? If not, what should I do? Cameron K. ( talk) 19:37, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
If I was edit warning, I am sorry. I was trying to come up with a mutually acceptable version. To be fair, why didn’t you also warn Yaan? He reverted many times. -- Littlebutterfly ( talk) 06:36, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
Milhist's new drive – Tag & Assess 2008 – goes live on April 25 and you are cordially invited to participate. This time, the task is housekeeping. Hi. Sorry for the delay in replying. I actually had totally forgot that I had listed myself on that list. Would you be able to point me in the direction of that list so that I might be able to remove my username? Thanks. will381796 ( talk) 16:06, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

Gimme danger, thank you for your welcome and sorry for not replying before. Thanks also for the guidelines you posted on my talk page. Take care! -- Truthsayer62 ( talk) 01:25, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
Okay. No more vandalism. I promise I'll be good from now on and content myself with writing obscure articles on sociolinguistics and semitic philology instead of telling what we all know is the incontestable, irrefutable, incontrovertible and unconfutable truth: that Luke Skywalker is the son of Oprah Winfrey. *Sob*
The good folk at Uncyclopedia were kind enough to take me in.
Many apologies. Szfski ( talk) 06:37, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
Hi, how are you? I put an external link onto the article about the Eye of Agamotto, but it just has the web adress with all the http:// crap with it. The links above it are all pretty, but I don't know how to do it like that. Could you tell me how please? Ichliebezuko ( talk) 15:40, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

A lot of what he says seems to be true, particularly with respect to edit-wars and stifling true exchange of information. (I'm just lucky semitic philologists aren't an especially bellicose bunch.)

Hey, thanks for the invite, but I'll be busy with my exams soon. I will be happy to join the Tibet Wikiproject after my trip there this summer. HanBoN ( talk) 20:48, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for the welcome! I've been having fun at Recent Changes so far, but I may get up the nerve to actually contribute soon. FCSundae ( talk) 00:23, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
