Highway 406

Hey there. Regarding this edit: this really is Highway 400 (Ontario) we're talking about. Highway 420 (Ontario) is a short spur into Niagara Falls off the Queen Elizabeth Way and technically it ends before the non-freeway portion starts. (Well, ever since it got downloaded in 2000, anyway.) Meanwhile, there is a long gap (" Wahta Gap") in the 400 that the government is now fixing up given the development up north.

Thanks for the edit, though — I ended up adding a bunch of new information while correcting the 400/420 confusion. Now that I look at it, the wording in the 420 article is kind of confusing; I'll go fix it up soonish.

Enjoy the editing. -- Qviri (talk) 10:38, 8 August 2006 (UTC) reply

Hello there. Thanks for taking the time to edit the 音 hanzi on the Candy Lo page. Perhaps it's unnecessary for me to thank you but it's just that before me no-one had taken the time to write anything useful about her. Bye. Narqalaq 16:43, 7 February 2007 (UTC) reply

Use of diagrams/photos from your website in a public education website in Hong Kong

Dear Sir/Madam,

We are setting up a public education website on energy efficient technologies for the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, under a contract from their Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD). (EMSD is promoting energy efficiency and renewable energy in Hong Kong. Their work in this respect is described in http://www.emsd.gov.hk/emsd/eng/pee/index.shtml.)

The public education website will be called the HK EE Net, and will serve the purpose of educating the public on various energy efficient technologies (air-conditioning, lighting, lift, escalator, electrical appliances and other energy efficient technologies), and with information on educational materials relating to energy efficient technologies. The website is planned to be launched in April 2007. As it is a public education website, it is non-commercial.

For setting us the contents of the HK EE Net, we would like to use the diagrams/photos from your website ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Bridge1.jpg). To acknowledge the source of each diagram/photo, the source website will be indicated with the diagram/photo to be shown on HK EE Net.

May I earnestly request for your permission to use the diagrams/photos? As the website is for public education purpose, and will be for the benefit of everyone accessible to the Internet, we do wish you will have no objection to our request.

We would be most grateful if you could reply to us by 4 April 2007, indicating your consent or otherwise, of showing the diagrams/photos on the HK EE Net, so that we can make the necessary arrangements before launching the website in March.

Thank you very much for your kind attention.

Best Regards,

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
