Mariano Rivera nickname warring

I would compromise keeping the Sandman nickname only. Also, I think it could mentioned in the same piece of trivia that discusses "Enter Sandman" as his entrance music (e.g. His entrance music is "Enter Sandman", which has led some people to refer to Rivera as "Sandman."). When using certain template tags on talk pages, don't forget to substitute with text by adding subst: to the template tag. For example, use {{subst:test}} instead of {{test}}. This reduces server load and prevents accidental blanking of the template. Rettetast 15:08, 23 January 2007 (UTC) reply

Sorry that it's taken me over four days to reply to this. Honestly, I knew that you had made the fix, but for some reason now, at 08:47, 15 August 2007 (UTC), is the first time that I've actually thought about thanking you for fixing my mistake. If you look at User:Ksy92003/Created and here, you'll see that I've created articles for a lot of players during that time span, eighty (80) in the previous week, to be exact, and I'm actually kinda surprised that this is (I think) the only accidental error I've made. Eighty articles and one error is pretty darn good, if I say so myself... sorry, I'm getting offtrack. I thank you for catching that mistake. But if you don't mind me asking, how did you first see that I made the error? I ask because I've created ninety-nine (99) articles and only a select few have made any other edits to any of them. So, I'm just curious as to how you saw and knew that this article even existed... if you don't mind answering, could you please tell me? Your move of Alberta articles

I have reverted your move of the Calgary, Edmonton, and Lethbridge articles to "city, province". You may not be aware of this, but the Canadian styleguide specifies that "Cities which either have unique names or are unquestionably the most significant place sharing their name can have undisambiguated titles". These three cities have all undergone debate regarding the move to disambiguate. In addition, you moved the page without any explanation or discussion. If you still want the titles to be "City, Province", please start a discussion via WP:CANTALK. -- Kmsiever ( talk) 16:39, 10 March 2008 (UTC) reply

Agreed, and the move from Calgary, Alberta to Calgary (and the similar prior moves of Edmonton and Lethbridge) were the subject of a discussion and a consensus, and should not be reversed absent achieving a new consensus (plus an important principle outlined at WP:CANSTYLE is that "a discussion should take place on the article's talk page before a move is implemented"). There is no rule for North American placenames -- there are separate and different guidelines for the United States, Canada and Mexico. See Wikipedia:Naming conventions (settlements) for more details. Skeezix1000 ( talk) 18:35, 10 March 2008 (UTC) reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content which gains a consensus among editors. Mr. No Funny Nickname ( talk) 01:13, 27 April 2009 (UTC) reply

Not only were you editing warring, but undermining other editors by calling them out as biased, etc is not the best way to resolve disputes and only makes things worse. If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia by continuing with an edit war or by name calling you will be blocked to prevent further disruption. You must take the issues up directly via the talk pages (ideally here), and if this doesn't work seek dispute resolution. Nja 247 07:28, 27 April 2009 (UTC) reply

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
