Interstate 395 (District of Columbia–Virginia) Alternate?

In 2011, I took some pictures of an "Interstate 395 Alternate" in Washington, D.C.. Is that a real thing? If so, could they be added to the Interstate 395 (District of Columbia–Virginia) page? Better yet, could that get a section on the main Interstate's page as a related route? The pics are File:Interstate 395 Alternate 1.jpg and File:Interstate 395 Alternate 2.jpg. Thanks. Allen (Morriswa) ( talk) 07:08, 3 January 2014 (UTC)

You pose a very valid question. I would say no, just because I've never heard of an official alternate interstate route. Plus large trucks can't used the part of I-395 in the 3rd Street Tunnel, so this paves way for a perfectly good reason to have an alternate path. So just because there is signage doesn't mean that it's an official designation. I think its worth mentioning the fact that an alternate route exists for trucks--this could go in the route description--but I don't think its enough for a related route section just because it isn't official. c16sh ( speak up) 03:24, 4 January 2014 (UTC)
I have never heard of an alternate Interstate route, either. At least one of the USRD editors said that it might be a truck route. I couldn't find maps of DC with it on them, like I could with Georgia. I don't even know the route of the highway. Allen (Morriswa) ( talk) 04:52, 4 January 2014 (UTC)

Hey!

I wanted to write to you today about {{ Highways in Westchester County, New York}} - These styles of navigational boxes have been depreciated in WP:USRD. See here, here, here, here, here, and here. If you wouldn't mind tagging this template, and any others you've created recently as CSD, we'd appreciate it. Thanks. -- Admr Boltz 00:23, 7 January 2014 (UTC)

Arrgh, I didn't realize that they were looked down upon after I saw a bunch of other county templates here. Of course I already added it to every page :( Should I tag the other NY county templates for speedy deletion as well? Thanks for the heads up. c16sh ( speak up) 00:37, 7 January 2014 (UTC)
Some templates are OK as they are required for Featured Topics, but we're working on deleting the unneeded ones. -- Admr Boltz 00:44, 7 January 2014 (UTC)
Yeah, the Warren/Hamilton/Essex ones are tied to Featured Topics, otherwise can the rest. Mitch32( The man who renounces himself, comes to himself.) 00:46, 7 January 2014 (UTC)

Turnpike/Parkway/Expressway

These are abbreviated on a national scheme, so expanding them in New Jersey puts one state out of sync. I have reverted them for now. Please open a discussion if you wish to have them all expanded nationally. Imzadi 1979  02:45, 13 January 2014 (UTC)

Sorry, I didn't mean to mess up the standard. I created a few for the DC metro area, so I'll abbreviate those for consistency. c16sh ( speak up) 02:51, 13 January 2014 (UTC)

Reformatting of Metro-North station lists

I just noticed that when you reformatted the station list for the Harlem Line, you created Mount Vernon (Metro-North station) as a redirect to Mount Vernon West (Metro-North station). I just had to convert that into a dab page, because the name was also used for Mount Vernon East (Metro-North station). Also, I added Columbus Avenue (NHRR station) to the existing New Haven Line station list, in the event you plan to reformat that one as well. I don't want you to forget any of the old New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad stations in the process of doing so. --------- User:DanTD ( talk) 21:02, 8 September 2014 (UTC)

Metro-North Hudson Line reformatting

I know it's not my sandbox, but I thought I'd add some former stations to your sandbox for the new version of the station list on the Metro-North Hudson Line. I suggest you use these links as info about former stations. --------- User:DanTD ( talk) 04:27, 16 September 2014 (UTC)

Not a problem, thanks for the info. c16sh ( speak up) 20:30, 17 September 2014 (UTC)
