Opinion

Dear Bibliomaniac15: Happy New Year! I am asking for your opinion if this quote from the newspaper I have researched sounds OK to be added for Latsabidze's article: After his Performance of Beethoven's Emperor Concerto at WUK Kulturhaus, the critic for Vienna’s main newspaper wrote that “Latsabidze is a technically brilliant pianist imbued with a spirit of greatness and genuine profundity” and added that “with a riveting intelligence and extraordinary imagination, given to everything he played, it was the kind of recital you never really forget.” I will put a reference from the newspaper and critic to support this quote. Please let me know. I will not put this in article till I get a few opinions from Wikipedia editors to be on the safe side. Thanks! Sausa ( talk) 19:47, 4 January 2011 (UTC) reply

The goal of this drive is to bring the number of outstanding Good Article nominations down to below 50. This will help editors in restoring confidence to the GAN process as well as actively improving, polishing, and rewarding good content. If you are interested in participating in the drive, please place your name here. Awards will be given out to those who review certain numbers of GANs as well as to those who review the most. MAPLight.org Idea / Questions

Hey David, I hope you are doing well! I met with a student who is volunteering with this organization in Berkeley. We spoke about ways of potentially incorporating the data MAPLight organizes in order to improve coverage of policy and campaign finance with respect to legislators and interest groups. A simple example I think would be awesome to implement would be to include in individual Congresspersons' and Senators' infoboxes a brief list of major campaign contributions. Or perhaps this could be better organized in a big table. Either way, what do you think about connecting the data here? MAPLight.org maintains the data compiled from several sources and provides an API. I talked to Derrick ( User:Dcoetzee) and he suggested the possibility of running a bot to set this up and have it regularly update to ensure the data is accurate. Let me know what you think!

Hello, Bibliomaniac.

It's been a very long time since we've last spoken. I'm pretty sure you don't have a vivid memory of who I am. Can't blame you, it's been a while. I came here to ask if you can guide me with Wikipedia again. I plan to create a new account because I'm going to admit, I created this account when I was underage, perhaps foolish to admit since I'm guessing it violated the ToS. It's been five years, however. Ambassador Program: assessment drive

Even though it's been quiet on-wiki, the Wikipedia Ambassador Program has been busy over the last few months getting ready for the next term. We're heading toward over 80 classes in the US, across all disciplines. You'll see courses start popping up here, and this time we want to match one or more Online Ambassadors to each class based on interest or expertise in the subject matter. If you see a class that you're interested, please contact the professor and/or me; the sooner the Ambassadors and professors get in communication, the better things go. Look for more in the coming weeks about next term.

In the meantime, with a little help I've identified all the articles students did significant work on in the last term. Many of the articles have never been assessed, or have ratings that are out of date from before the students improved them. Please help assess them! Pick a class, or just a few articles, and give them a rating (and add a relevant WikiProject banner if there isn't one), and then update the list of articles.

Once we have updated assessments for all these articles, we can get a better idea of how quality varied from course to course, and which approaches to running Wikipedia assignments and managing courses are most effective.

Re: (apparently) vacant Admin Coaching slot

Hey, I don't mean to bother you, but it appears your Admin Coaching slot is currently blank according to the page. I'm not quite sure if it is though, because it appears you're helping ZooPro from taking a look at your talk page. (And if you are, that's alright, I'll just step off and go back to Huggling)

If you're truly not coaching anyone, however, and you wouldn't mind, would you consider coaching me? I know we've got the business of our own daily lives to attend to, and even more so to you because you're a sysop, so if you don't want to, it's fine. It's just that from reading your page regarding your admin coaching plans, I see that you're one of the few people who understands how the criteria for RfA has become unnecessarily strict, and would therefore understand my predicament when it comes to my lack of content writing - regrettably, in my five years of editing here, counter-vandalism, CSD, and welcoming new users is most of all I've done. So I'm coming to you.

But only if you're willing. If you don't feel like it and it pleases you to decline, I respect that and I would rather you decline than push you to do things. Thanks for your time. 00:59, 29 July 2011 (UTC) reply

WikiProject Good Articles will be running a GAN backlog elimination drive for the entire month of March. On behalf of my co-coordinator Wizardman, we hope we can see you in March. MuZemike delivered by MuZebot 00:35, 22 February 2011 (UTC) reply

Admin Coaching

G'day Bibliomaniac15, Hows things? I was wondering if you would mind giving me some direction in what areas I need to improve on before considering applying for the mop. I will over the next week be reviewing all the main policies and guidelines we use here so as to ensure I am up to speed with any new changes, would you recommend any specific ones I should focus on? Thanks in advance Zoo Pro 13:47, 24 March 2011 (UTC) reply

Hi Ambassador,

We are at a pivotal point in the development of the Wikipedia Ambassador Program. Your feedback will help shape the program and role of Ambassadors in the future. Please take this 10 minute survey to help inform and improve the Wikipedia Ambassadors.

Write me back on my discussion page when you have the time. notactive ( talk) 01:58, 28 May 2011 (UTC) reply

Un-delete This Please....

Hello,

You Deleted BRING BACK NICKTROPOLIS Did You Not? ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BRING_BACK_NICKTROPOLIS) (Was going to do bit.ly but, its on the Wikipedia black list)

It Says: This page has been deleted. The deletion and move log for the page are provided below for reference. 05:19, 19 July 2010 Bibliomaniac15 (talk | contribs) deleted "BRING BACK NICKTROPOLIS" ‎ (A1: Not enough context to identify article's subject: A7: Article about a group or club, which does not indicate the importance or significance of the subject)

As Far As A1 Go's... We Where Going To Slowly-But-Surely Add More "Context" As We Went Along... As For A7: Nicktropolis WAS A Very Big Thing On Nick.com (Check Out The Nicktropolis Wiki- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Club_(Nickelodeon)#History) And When Nick.com Changed It Into The Club, They Made 1,000,000,0+ Nicktropolis Users angry about this, So, There Is A BIG "Significance Of The Subject"....

I Have No Idea If You Have The Ability To Un-Delete BRING BACK NICKTROPOLIS or not, But If You Can't, Please Point Me Where I Need To Go To Get It Un-deleted!

Thanks, Luke

Rollback privelages..

Hi,

if no one objects would it be possible to have rollback privileges. I do my best to deal with vandals but many are doing multiple edits and the capacity to rollback to the last valid edit would help a lot with my efforts to curb vandalism. Cheers, Faendalimas talk 04:02, 13 August 2011 (UTC) reply

Active for coaching?

Hey Bibliomaniac.. I saw you are doing coaching.. I have had multiple accounts since I think 2008 or 2009(Dont worry none were banned..) I think 500 edits total. Is this too little? Also, I really don't care about adminship. Rollback would be nice but I need to do better/more article editing first(was told when I applied) and I want tips. Anything would be nice! Let me know if you are open..
