Ms Cousineau,
I was in your July 2013 KDL "What is Wikipedia" class. Want you to know that I am still actively editing -- from quick corrections of spelling or grammar to adding new sections. Your best piece of advice was to be fearless which took me a while to master. Today I created a new article! Your second best piece of advice was to copy & paste any format/info I wish to “borrow.” Thank you.
When I took the class you sent each of your students a list of helpful Wiki links. Highly recommend that you send future students the below Navigation Charts as includes nearly all the links you shared plus many, many more that are helpful to (new) editors.
IMO the page Wikipedia:A primer for newcomers is still a good initial intro which all should read as homework for week 2.
I did keep the links for ‘Wiki Markup' Cheatsheet, Citing Sources and Help Directory as continue to use them frequently. Note that "The Teahouse" is easy access at the top of the Help navigation chart.

I wish more museums would do this. I posted a request [2] at the Signpost (The Wikipedia newspaper) to request that they put something in their next edition about the Museum's contributions. -- Uzma Gamal ( talk) 13:27, 17 November 2012 (UTC)
Thank you for your recent offer of assistance regarding articles relating to President Gerald Ford. The most relevant article I have created relating to the Ford Administration is on Stanley K. Hathaway who briefly served as Secretary of the Interior in President Ford's Cabinet. Any additional updates you can provide to the Hathaway article would be most appreciated. I may have created other articles related to President Ford, but cannot think of any others off the top of my head, so please free feel to peruse the list on my UserPage to identify any other articles you might be able to contribute to. -- TommyBoy ( talk) 11:11, 18 November 2012 (UTC)

Merry
Christmas! This greeting (and season) promotes
WikiLove and hopefully this note has made your day a little better. Spread the WikiLove by wishing another user a
Merry Christmas, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past, a good friend, or just some random person. Happy New Year!
Spread the cheer by adding {{ subst:Xmas2}} to their talk page with a friendly message.
Then maybe you might have an interest in joining WikiProject Gerald Ford! We're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of the life, career, and presidency of Gerald Ford.
We're very much a new project, so you have the opportunity to help form the design and structure of the WikiProject itself in addition to creating and improving content about Ford. You are more than welcome to join us by adding your username under the "Participants" section of our WikiProject page. Everyone is welcome, and you are free to contribute where and when you like.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask a member, and we'll be happy to help you. Hopefully we'll see you around the WikiProject! Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Robert C. Sprague (inventor) may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "()"s and 1 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Happy New Year, and welcome to a special double issue of Books & Bytes. We've included a retrospective on the changes and progress TWL has seen over the last year, the results of the survey TWL participants completed in December, some of our plans for the future, a second interview with a Wiki Love Libraries coordinator, and more. Here's to 2014 being a year of expansion and innovation for TWL!

Hey, so I see that you would be interested on working to organize people in the Midwest into a group. Barring any sort of change in the last year, would you be still willing to do so? I know that Varnent and Keilana are active in outreach and that sort of thing, so it might not be a bad idea to start moving in that direction to become a user group if you wanted to do so. I know that the process is fairly straightforward, and getting the interest of those involved in the meetups wouldn't be hard to do. Also, Varnent is involved in the Affiliations Committee, so he would be able to help you along should you need it. Kevin Rutherford ( talk) 04:46, 24 April 2014 (UTC)
Ok, everyone, sorry, I have been v remiss about responding to the group. When I think about this offline, I get overwhelmed: too much time, not enough experience in Wikipedia, etc. But then I get excited about growing a community... I do know two things: I'm super busy until July 15, and the UofM student group might be dormant since school is out for the summer. Let me ponder some more, or is there a rush? Hey Bdcousineau: User:Michael Barera said I should reach out to you since you are a librarian. Would you mind taking a look at this new resource page: WP:TWL/I and its associated course page? We are trying to develop a resource that makes it really easy for libraries and academic interns to begin editing Wikipedia. Also, would you be interested in running such an internship as a pilot? Hi Books & Bytes recipients: The Wikipedia Library has been expanding rapidly and we need some help! We currently have 10 signups for free account access open and several more in the works... In order to help with those signups, distribute access codes, and manage accounts we'll need 2-3 more Account Coordinators.
It takes about an hour to get up and running and then only takes a couple hours per week, flexible depending upon your schedule and routine. If you're interested in helping out, please drop a note in the next week at my talk page or shoot me an email at: jorlowitzgmail.com. Hello Books & Bytes subscribers. There is a new Visual Editor reference feature in development called Citoid. It is designed to "auto-fill" references using a URL or DOI. We would really appreciate you testing whether TWL partners' references work in Citoid. Sharing your results will help the developers fix bugs and improve the system. If you have a few minutes, please visit the testing page for simple instructions on how to try this new tool. Regards, MediaWiki message delivery ( talk) 18:47, 10 April 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current
Arbitration Committee election. The
Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia
arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose
site bans,
topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The
arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to
review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on
the voting page. For the Election committee,

Merry
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Roy Ash, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Captain ( check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Thanks, BracketBot ( talk) 23:47, 9 September 2013 (UTC)

Sadads ( talk) 18:38, 12 June 2014 (UTC)

You have expressed interest in the GLAM-Wiki US Consortium, so you may be interested in attending the GLAM Boot Camp next month in Washington, DC. This is a training designed to help Wikipedians interested in guiding museums, libraries, and other cultural institutions in wiki engagement. Travel funding available for those in North America. Since the event is coming up soon, please be sure to add your name to the page if you are interested -- and please pass this announcement along. (You may want to share on Facebook or on Twitter.)
