Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites that you are affiliated with, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. Generally speaking, Wikipedia tends to discourage any external links being added by the person who owns or operates the website--there's just too much potential for abuse by those who would unscrupulously use Wikipedia to promote For Profit companies. Unfortunately, that means that a lot of people such as yourself who are trying to get legitimate information out are also penalized by the actions of an unscrupulous minority.
The best way to get links to your site included you've already taken--you've informed the Wikipedia community of your website and offered them a chance to evaluate it. Unfortunately, the next step requires patience and hard work: the next step is to wait and allow the editors who regularly peruse those pages to look at your site and decide whether or not to include it. The bad news is that wait may take a while.
In the mean time, however, I would encourage you to go ahead and update the information on treatment and prognosis. The only requirements for an update like that is that the information you add be verifiable from a reliable source--medical journals are a great source.
