You appear to have been engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Itō calculus. The three-revert rule states that making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block. You have come nowhere near to making three reverts in 24 hours, but edit-warring is not acceptable even if done more slowly, and you have made the same revert three times. I see you have used the talk page to discuss the controversial changes, which is good. Work towards wording and content that gains consensus among editors. If unsuccessful then do not edit war even if you believe you are right. Be willing to step back if you find that consensus is against you. Sometimes it can help to post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. The reason this issue came to my attention was that another editor made just such a request for help at Wikipedia:Editor_assistance/Requests#Ito_calculus, and I was asked to look at the matter to help resolve the dispute. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice, but naturally I hope that will be unnecessary. JamesBWatson ( talk) 11:04, 3 November 2010 (UTC) reply
