hello Acrajan. I see you are interested in categorization of Tamil related articles. Please refer to Wikipedia:Categorization. In particular, there is no need to explicitly list articles a category when they are already listed in subcategories. In this example, Category:Tamil literature does not belong in Category:Languages of Sri Lanka because it is already in Category:Tamil language, which is in turn in Category:Languages of Sri Lanka. Cases like this edit are rather extreme: please do not categorize an article on a scholar in "languages" categories (Pavanar is a person, not a language), or in general categories like "Sanskrit", "Etymology", "Language acquisition". Thank you, dab (𒁳) 15:19, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
please do not remove warning templates. Please be aware of Wikipedia's WP:NPOV and WP:ATT policies: You are welcome to write an article about Devaneya Pavanar, but you will need to be able to attribute your claims to credible sources. dab (𒁳) 20:54, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
I have given the external links, those are the proof to this article, please read the books in Library of Tamil Virtual University (www.tamilvu.org) for the proof and facts Rajan 21:03, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
Please stop reverting to "your" version of Devaneya Pavanar: You copy-pasted the text from this link, so that it is a copyright violation to begin with. Furthermore, it is very obviously in violation of WP:NPOV, not to mention issues of layout and broken English. Thank you for initiating the article, but you really have to respect Wikipedia policy. dab (𒁳) 08:22, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
Please do not post copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. See Wikipedia:Copyrights. Copyright violations are unacceptable and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Your original contributions are welcome. dab (𒁳) 08:30, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
Can I once again ask you to please read and respect WP:ATT and WP:COPYVIO? Your wikibook entry also appears to be a blatant copyright violation of a 1966 publication. Whose English translation are you citing? Is the work English in the original? Where was it published? Unless you provide bibliographic details for the titles you list, they will just have to be deleted. Again, your contributions are welcome, but you are absolutely required to respect policy (including WP:NPOV). Just ripping off an eulogy from tamilnation.org will not do at all, and further actions like this can get your account blocked from editing. dab (𒁳) 09:31, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
I will warn you again: if you continue uploading images that are blatant copyright violations, without specifying any source or fair use rationale, you will be temporarily blocked from editing. dab (𒁳) 11:05, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
Rajan, You seem to be new here.. so I request that you read up on WP:3RR before you land yourself in trouble on that count. You cannot revert in full or even in part more than thrice in a 24 hr window. I am concerned that you may be heading towards a violation of this policy on the Pavanar article. Sarvagnya 11:11, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for uploading Image:Kulandaisamy.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Hi Rajan, I see that you've created a page for Devaneya Pavanar. I know quite well that a page for him here in English Wiki is quite approriate and I'm glad you had created one. I was wanting to create one myself. I've read most of his books at one time or another and I've them all with me - all republished by ThamizhmaN pathippakam. However, you need to understand that you've to follow wiki standards and conventions. I honestly felt that the page is not well organized and the contents were not presented in a neutral point of view. I'll be attempting to do the edits as best as I can- but other editors also will pitch in to correct the wording. -- Aadal 18:59, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! HagermanBot 19:22, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
Rajan, I have left a message for you at Talk:List of Chief Ministers of Tamil Nadu. Please check and comment. Regards, Ganeshk ( talk) 17:13, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for uploading Image:Annadurai CM.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the " my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Image:Devaneya Pavanar Stamp.jpg, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:
Under the
criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please
see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{
hangon}}
on the top of the page and leave a note on [[Talk:Image:Devaneya Pavanar Stamp.jpg|the article's talk page]] explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Amarrg 16:17, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
Can you help render "Be Prepared", the Scout Motto, into Tamil script? Thanks! Chris 17:15, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for uploading Image:Bharathidasan.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. BetacommandBot 04:25, 27 October 2007 (UTC)
An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Pavanar from TamilVU.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is The Primary Classical Language of the World. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and " What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Primary Classical Language of the World. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. -- Erwin85Bot ( talk) 01:11, 15 March 2010 (UTC)

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. -- Ser Amantio di Nicolao Che dicono a Signa? Lo dicono a Signa. 01:00, 20 October 2016 (UTC)
