The article A Satyanarayana Shastri has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{ prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. JoelWhy? talk 12:43, 25 June 2012 (UTC) reply

A Satyanarayana Shastri

You'll need to establish notability with reliable sources. They don't have to be online sources. You should read through the WP:IRS article for an explanation of how to identify reliable sources. Also, you can read WP:NOTABILITY for a description of notability. JoelWhy? talk 13:09, 25 June 2012 (UTC) reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page A Satyanarayana Shastri has been reverted.
Your edit here to A Satyanarayana Shastri was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. I have added reference links to the document. What seems to be the problem? I am new here and dont know what else to do. Prof. A Satyanarana Shastri impacted a lot of lives. However, he passed away in 2004 and hence not enough information is available online. He was a philosopher and guide to many. Please help.

Hi! We have strict policies about what can and cannot be written about living persons here. One of our biography policies is that if the subject is living, the article must be sourced. If it is not sourced, than the author has 7 days to add sources or the article is deleted. I see that you have added some sources, so the BLP-PROD has been removed. Electriccatfish2 ( talk) 15:10, 25 June 2012 (UTC) reply

This person is not living. He passed away on January 14, 2004. I have made a reference to the announcement on a national news paper called 'The Hindu'. Additionally, I have added references to a publication where information about him is available. Please let me know what more I should do. Discover Lasting Happiness ( talk) 03:21, 26 June 2012 (UTC) reply

Hi there. I think the tagging as a BLP (a biography of a living person) was a genuine mistake and has been rectified. I think your article needs to lose the links to YouTube - is there some webiste listing all his speeches that is not YouTube? Leaving that long list of links looks like advertising to me, and unfortunately that brings the whole article into disrepute rather. I would focus on making the article read less like a promotion of this man and try to sound as neutral as you can. I'm willing to give the article an edit to improve this. — foxj 05:42, 26 June 2012 (UTC) reply
