This is a state library IP, this cannot be blocked because of the importance, no matter what vandalsim has occured. You are willing to stop 200+ people (library's daily population) because of ONE person from editing? This is purely anal! This is a LIBRARY IP ADDRESS, you cannot have this blocked because these computers are used for looking up resources. They NEED to be able to use Wikipedia Wormdoggy 00:51, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

Also, yes we can block a shared IPs. We have blocked IPs shared by millions of people when the situation has called for it. A while back we blocked huge segments of AOL on a regular basis. Also, we blocked the entire country of Qatar for a short period of time. --- J.S ( T/ C/ WRE) 01:18, 8 July 2007 (UTC) reply

Oh, on a side note: being blocked does not limit the use of wikipedia as a resources... all it does is prevent people from editing. --- J.S ( T/ C/ WRE) 01:20, 8 July 2007 (UTC) reply

Unblock request

Please don't attempt to fill in the details to unblock-auto yourself. You need to cut and paste the pregenerated version of it as instructed exactly below.

Clearing an autoblock

Due to the nature of the block applied we need additional information before we can decide whether to unblock you. It is very likely that you are not personally blocked. If you are prevented from editing, it may be because you are autoblocked or blocked because of your IP address. Without further details there is nothing further we can do to review or lift your block. If you are still autoblocked by the time you read this message, please follow these instructions:

  1. If you have a Wikipedia account, please ensure that you are logged in.
Your account name will be visible in the top right of this page if you are.
If it isn't, try bypassing your web browser's cache.
  2. Try to edit the Sandbox.
  3. Copy the {{ unblock-auto|...}} code generated for you under the "IP blocked?" section.
  4. Paste the code at the bottom of your user talk page and click save.

If you are not blocked from editing the sandbox then the autoblock on your IP address has already expired and you can resume editing. --  Netsnipe   ►  05:43, 8 July 2007 (UTC) reply

In response to [1], could you please tell us which library you're referring to and is there a staff member we can contact to verify this incident? Apologies for the inconvenience if you are truly innocent, but we have dozens of vandals and banned users trying to scam their way past their blocks and we need to be sure before unblocking. --  Netsnipe   ►  00:49, 9 July 2007 (UTC) reply

It is the Camden County Library in NJ Wormdoggy 17:21, 9 July 2007 (UTC) reply
Thank you Wormdoggy. Please advise of a staff member we can contact at the Camden County Library, or have them email the unblock mailing list from their library email address. Can't sleep, clown will eat me 20:43, 9 July 2007 (UTC) reply

Your note

Hi, it seems the concern is that you, wikimindless, and Awsometrex are the same person. You and wikimindless do seem to write the same way, and you edit from the same IP address. That you're in a library could explain the latter, but not the former, and I note that other admins have said there's no indication the IP resolves to a library anyway.

If you want to e-mail me details of where the library is, I can look into it further, but as things stand, I'd say the block looks justified. Sorry I can't be of more help. SlimVirgin (talk) (contribs) 01:00, 5 August 2007 (UTC) reply
