A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Williamtynan, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. N0nsensical.system (err0r?) Hello and
welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to
talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), such as at
User talk:NonsensicalSystem, please be sure to
sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. N0nsensical.system (err0r?) (.log) 14:03, 8 January 2020 (UTC)
Hi Williamtynan -- Welcome to Wikipedia! I looked at the deleted version of this article at User:Williamtynan and think the group might meet the encyclopedia's inclusion standards. Are you associated with the group? If so you should go through the WP:Articles for Creation process, as NonsensicalSystem advised. Otherwise it is optional, although you will need to get autoconfirmed status by editing a bit before you can start pages in the main encyclopedia.
What is needed is reviews in reliable independent publications; things like The Guardian review that you linked are ideal. Generally at least two or three sources of this quality and depth are necessary. You also wanat to avoid promotional language such as "prestigious" and of course, never cut and paste from the organisation's website for copyright reasons!
Hope this helps -- don't feel discouraged, and feel free to ask me on my talk page for help. The Teahouse is also a friendly place for new editors. I've put the standard welcome message below this comment for your reference. Cheers, Espresso Addict ( talk) 10:28, 9 January 2020 (UTC)
