Wiki fanatic, you recently described someone as an "arrogant little prick" at Articles for deletion/Half-Life: Uplink (film). Firstly, I would like to say that I do not believe the person you aimed this description at should have applied the word "trout" to yourself. As a result, I understand your frustration. However, insulting that person is response to yourself being insulted will not help your case that Ten Pound Hammer was wrong, as many people will think of the "two wrongs don't make a right" argument when they view that the exchange between yourself and Ten Pound Hammer, and consequently will lose sympathy for you and your argument. I hope you can see where I am coming from. I suggest you strike ""arrogant little prick" from the discussion, and apologise for saying it. I will work on getting Ten Pound Hammer to retract his assertion that you should be trouted. Thank you for reading. OpenSeven ( talk) 23:47, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
Sorry if you took offense to my "trouting" comment. It was meant in jest as trouting usually is. I just get so ticked off at times that people will put "(film)" at the end when it doesn't need to be, and I didn't realize that this time it was actually necessary. However, please refrain from name-calling in return when you believe you've been insulted (although you at least crossed out your counter-insult, which is probably a good idea). I have never found anyone to be "rudely insulted" by the trouting comment before, and that certainly wasn't my intent. Wiki fanatic, do you know anywhere where I could see the Half-Life: Uplink movie? OpenSeven ( talk) 02:39, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
Just to let you know, I have copied much of the HL:Uplink (film) article to CombineOverwiki-a Wiki devoted to the Half-Life universe. I couldn't copy it all, as the HL Wiki can't process some of the technical code in the Wikipedia article. You can find the HL Wiki article here: [1]. OpenSeven ( talk) 21:37, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for uploading
Image:Hluplink.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a
claim of fair use. However, it is currently
orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed.
You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see
our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the " my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot ( talk) 05:03, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
Hi Wiki fanatic,
First, congratulations for your initiative os starting a NPOV Microsoft Portal.
My name is Luciano Palma ( http://twitter.com/lucianopalma) and I work for Microsoft Brazil, in the TechNet team. We have an issue that is managing the amount of articles that is sent to us. We don't have the resources to evaluate all of them in order to publish in TechNet Articles area. However, many material is extremely valuable to our community and we don't want them getting old waiting for evaluation/revision, so the idea is to create a WikiProject (TechNetBR) se the contributors themselves could publish articles in this Wikipedia Portal.
I'm available to manage the WikiProject, and I'd like to see it created under the MS WikiPortal. Is it possible? Do you have any hints?
Thanks in advance!
Cheers! Luciano Palma ( http://twitter.com/lucianopalma) 20:16, 12 October 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lucianopalma ( talk • contribs)
You haven't been online in fourteen weeks according to Nickserv, so I googled your name. You go by the nickname “One” on Freenode, yes? I'm trying to acquire the singlehash channel by the name of #-_-
, which is the name of a new open-source project of ours.
The process of acquiring ownership of a single-hash channel, even with a valid claim, takes *months* on Freenode; it's patently ridiculous. I'd really, intensely appreciate it if you wouldn't mind dropping the channel so I can take official ownership of it, saving me the time and effort … or, alternatively, letting me know that you have a project for which you use it or have intended to start using it for, and that I should bugger off and not waste my time.
I can be reached on Freenode under the useraccount “ELLIOTTCABLE,” usually on that same nickname or one of ec, battlecollie, or ELLIOTTCABLE^

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Outlook 07.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the " my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG ( talk) 15:17, 25 October 2012 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current
Arbitration Committee election. The
Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia
arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose
site bans,
topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The
arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to
review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on
the voting page. For the Election committee,
