Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Photovoltaics, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Materialscientist ( talk) 10:15, 4 May 2023 (UTC)
Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Fresnel equations. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Constant314 ( talk) 12:56, 10 May 2023 (UTC)
Hi WhoIsD! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of
Evanescent field several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the
edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.
All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Evanescent field, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. Constant314 ( talk) 14:12, 10 May 2023 (UTC)
Hello, WhoIsD, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia. Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who misuse multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. It appears that you may be editing as an anonymous IP editor and supporting your own suggestions. If you are doing that, you need to stop. The administrators have tools to ferret that out. It will get you quickly blocked. If you are not doing that, then my apologies. Constant314 ( talk) 20:21, 10 May 2023 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did at Optics, you may be blocked from editing. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. Such material does not belong in lead, Wikipedia is not the place to present/paraphrase of primary source papers, and adding papers by the same authors as citation indiscriminately across Wikipedia is considered WP:REFSPAM Fountains of Bryn Mawr ( talk) 00:31, 11 May 2023 (UTC)
