Hi all Wikipedia folks! Come say hi :)
Hi Wendygreen11, I'm replying to your E-mail here on your talk page as I don't want to disclose my E-mail address. You asked me whether it's ok to create a page for your company here on Wikipedia. Well, it depends. First and foremost, for a company to have a Wikipedia article it has to meet WP:NCORP, or at least WP:GNG criteria. If it does, then we have one less problem to deal with. Given that you are planning to create a page about something you're involved with it will most certainly trigger a conflict of interest (COI). COI editing is really discourage as Wikipedia strives to maintain a neutral point of view. On a positive note, if you're confident that you could refrain from being biased when adding details about your company then it might be ok for you to go ahead. But this means you have to include both compliments and criticism about your company; however, COI editors rarely do so. Do not try to promote your company on Wikipedia, not by any means. I will provide you some useful links that will help you to know more about Wikipedia and its policies. If you have further questions, feel free to ask on my talkpage or at the Teahouse. User:Wendygreen11/Safe-T has been deleted, in accordance with Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion. There were two reasons for this: (1) the content was largely copied from pages on other web sites, making it clearly a copyright infringement, and (2) the page was written in promotional terms, more like an advertisement for the business than like a neutral encyclopaedia article. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Safe-T, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. GMG talk 13:24, 4 December 2017 (UTC)
