Llŷn

I have destroyed the evidence somewhat, but I believe you copied Lleyn Peninsula to Llyn Peninsula or vice-versa. This is an absolute no-no - multiple titles are fully allowed but we use redirects. I think I have now got the peninsula sorted in this respect - see special:whatlinkshere/Llŷn Peninsula. -- RHaworth 21:01, 20 January 2006 (UTC) reply

If you are releasing images under the GNU, you are encouraged to upload them to the commons so that other wikis can share. In this case especially since there is a welsh wikipedia which could well use them. Also, if you are willing, please upload larger versions (up to 1 Mbyte file size) - Wikipedia is very clever at reducing images automatically for use in articles. -- RHaworth 21:01, 20 January 2006 (UTC) reply

Please do not add advertising or inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in Criccieth. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. File source problem with File:Cleehills.JPG

Thank you for uploading File:Cleehills.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Your upload of File:Chwilog3.JPG or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

Notice

The file File:Llyn1.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unused, low-res, replaceable with files at c:Category:Pwllheli harbour.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Minorax«¦ talk¦» 06:47, 1 January 2023 (UTC) reply
