Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Steeldawn.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the " my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BetacommandBot 04:36, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Zero-one.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BetacommandBot 11:29, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for uploading
Image:Spinosaurus.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a
claim of fair use. However, the image is currently
orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed.
You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see
our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the " my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. I have tagged Image:Jokervenom.jpg as {{ no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Please also consider using {{ non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 12:15, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

Welcome to the August edition of the U2 WikiProject Newsletter. As you may have noticed, we are now doing themed newsletters. This one (if you haven't already guessed) is How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb. Every month the newsletter will have a different theme. There will also be a special edition when the new album is released. Also thanks to Neranei for some of the U2 news.
We have two new members since the start of the month! They are Vero444 and MC. We now have 38 members!
More info from the album page here.
Last month's newsletter incorrectly stated that there were 34 members. This should've been 36. Also, under the "U2 News" section, line 3, instead of saying most recent single it should've said most recent song (this has since been corrected). The editors sincerely apologize for any misunderstandings this may have caused. The correct version of the July newsletter can be found here.
All members of the U2 Wikiproject please note that voting for the next collaboration of the fortnight starts on THE 12TH OF AUGUST. Please visit the collaboration department for more details. |

VolatileChemical: I responded to your concerns on the Anti-Democratic Thought article. I agree that the article is sorely lacking, so much so that I believe it should be reorganized entirely, folded back into the Criticisms section of the Democracy article, and subsequently deleted. At the moment, I don't have the time to personally devote to it, but I will at some point in the not too distant future. Do you agree with my conclusions? Infiniteawe 20:23, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

Is this where you complain about this site? I don't care, I'm complaining here anyway. I created the category Category:And Now For Something Completely Different. Obviously, it was deleted. Here's the deletion discussion. Only thing is, I created that page, and I should've been notified that it was up for deletion! Someone, usually or possibly always an administrator, has always notified me when a page I created or an image I uploaded is listed for deletion, and has allowed me access and notification of the debate. But not in this case! Unacceptable! I don't know what complaining about it will do, but I'm doing it anyway! VolatileChemical 12:24, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

This is an automated message from a robot. You have recently uploaded Image:Burlington seal.jpg. The file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{ GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{ non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 20:06, 15 September 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. If you believe you received this message in error, please notify the bot's owner.

Thanks for uploading Image:Wakemewhenthewarisover.jpg.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted after seven days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BetacommandBot 05:00, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Chandlerandjoey'sapartment.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Rex Banner.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

On front cover of All That You Can't Leave Behind is a very subtle Biblical reference. In the background J 33-3 can be seen. This is a reference to verse 33 of chapter 3 of the book of Jeremiah: "Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and hidden things which you have not known." |
Welcome to the September Edition of the U2 WikiProject Newsletter. The theme for this newletter is " All That You Can't Leave Behind". We hope you enjoy reading it!
