Hammy or HS is fine. Thats a very good question you have there! There is a line (somewhere handy I'm sure) that states in essence "do not contribute unless you have no problem with your work potentially being mercilessly edited, scrutinized, altered, deleted and alternately exaulted or spit upon(in a figurative sense, of course!). I must admit to you, although I do a fair bit of editing, I stay almost exclusively with text, images are not my bag at all! The brilliant thing about this WP is that you can always find another editor to collaborate with, whose strengths best compliment your own, which is how I've been able to operate as an editor. The information you added to Wikipedia:List of Wikipedians by fields of interest, well thats in that list now for all to see. There is a watch page tab at the top of every Wikipedia page. By clicking it you can track that page on your "Special watchlist" page. That holds all the pages you are watching for changes. Also,if you look in the section right above the "show preview" and "Save" buttons on the pages you contribute too, you will find a small box that says "watch this page" and it performs the same function. By clicking that box, you will be able to subsequently find the page easily, and you will also be able to track new additions to it from other users. If it hadn't been for you, I would never have found it (the List) in all likelihood, and I was able to add my own particulars there. So, thanks! One word of advice, if I may, is that you use the preview button before you save, just to see what the page you have been working on will look like in WP space. Another thing is, there is a box below the text box on pages you edit, for leaving an edit summary. Please use it to leave a short description of your most recent edit, or change, or addition. It makes life a lot easier for the people who are checking these types of additions for vandalism. Veej, I hope I have been of some help to you, of course, feel free to ask my assistance whenever you want. If I can't help, I can usually steer you in the right direction. See you 'round the wiki! Hi. I saw you're (like me) listed in this category which is up for deletion. Hoped you'd like to vote in favor of keeping it... Thanks! Larix 02:31, 20 December 2005 (UTC)
Those categories are factionalizing - they have a tendency of splitting the 'pedia into certain factions that feel hostility towards one another. And that is a bad thing. They encourage people to, in a conflict, tag in a couple of like-minded people to shout down the opposition, rather than discuss what the problem actually is about. And we have too much of that already. R adiant _>|< 14:19, 20 December 2005 (UTC)
I don't really know how that list came about, and I actually happen to like "dry" topics like those listed, but yes, more topics related to contemporary Indian culture would be great. You should of course feel free to nominate additional topics. Tom Radulovich 16:15, 20 December 2005 (UTC)
Top level priority would mean core India topics. Topics which attract a lot of attention. Topics such as the History of India; Flora and Fauna of India, major cities, states etc. This does not mean that topics on Bollywood should be neglected, if you would like to bring up Bollywood etc to featured status, by all means please do so. =Nichalp «Talk»= 08:33, 21 December 2005 (UTC)
Per your request, I have expounded further on my "delete" vote in the Wikipedians by politics category. I am not opposed to the category per se, but I think that the category can be used as a tool which can damage the more democratic ideals of the Wikipedia. Of course, you can always fight pro-this categories with pro-that categories, but that kind of escalation should best be avoided. JRP 17:09, 24 December 2005 (UTC)
Engineering Wiki is a wiki entirely dedicated to collecting information about Engineering. The Engineering Wiki is in early development stages at the moment. We invite you to help devlope this wiki.
Because the article is not about the boycott. The Boycott is relevant and needs to be mentioned, and the external references to BBC articles are relevant to that sub-issues.
However, by placing entire transcripts in the encyclopedia entry, your edit completely dominated the article, giving the issue far more coverage than the actual day that the article is supposed to be about! This is an encyclopedia, not a political issues debate forum.
I did not erase your entry - I moved it to the discussion page, where it is more appropriate. Some of the external links can and likely should be be worked back into the section on the boycott.
You may wish to include the material elsewhere. Perhaps the issue deserves it's own article? But a side-issue to the actual event should not "crowd out" the topic which the article is about. - Beowulf314159 15:28, 27 January 2006 (UTC)

Boy, Siddiqui has been a nightmare since hes arrived in December. I've been bogged down, policing his edits to India related articles. IHe unlike other vandals adds subtle misinformation to articles under guise of Pakistani perspective. I could write a book on his vandalisms here. To create a category, just put "Category:Your category name" (without the quotes) into the search bar and click "Go". Then click "Create this article." Give a short description of the article, and put it in a higher level category in the same way you would put a page in. Then, you can add pages to the category and they'll show up in it. For more info see Wikipedia:Categorization.
As far as the specific category you're suggesting I would highly advise you not to create it as it is inflammatory and will likely be deleted. Your choice though. Peace, -- Urthogie 21:15, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
Easy there boy, i've seen too many people banned on the charge of "Islamophobia" to think any good will come out of it. You may not have a category, but still you can have a "Sub-User Page" like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Veej/Islamists where people can possibly vent their feelings as to whether they are being bullied by extremists or not.
अमेय आर्यन DaBroodey 05:15, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for your message about Linda Smith and her use of the word Satan. Your concern for the family is admirable, but with respect I don't think it applies, for two reasons: I see no reason to think they would find the debate objectionable even if they happened to stumble across them on the Talk page, which isn't that likely; and Wikipedia is not in the business of stifling (or hiding) reasonable debate in order to spare anyone's feelings. As for whether it should stay, that must depend on whether it can be verified, as is the case for anything on Wikipedia. I really don't see how it can be, unless you could turn up some comment by Smith or a close contact confirming that the concept of the devil was more "figurative" to her (whatever that would mean in practice) because she was a humanist -- which seems pretty unlikely. Otherwise, it's just your interpretation, which might well be perfectly valid and interesting, but is not the business of an encyclopaedia. Also, there's every chance that it will be deleted later on by some unconnected person coming across it, unaware of this discussion. At the very least it needs to be made clear what is meant, because after all it is quite a subtle point. I do sympathise with your affection for the phrase, something we've all felt I expect, and no doubt it's harmless enough in the great scheme of things; but I do feel the encyclopaedic principles should prevail, rather than the luck of the draw, in terms of the next person to comment -- sporting though your offer is! Best wishes Flapdragon 14:30, 7 March 2006 (UTC)

Hello,
I noticed that you have listed yourself as a Wikipedian in London, so I thought you might like to come to one of our monthly social meetups. The next one is going to be on Sunday 10 August, which might well be rather short notice, but if you can't come this time, we try to have one every second Sunday of the month.
If you haven't been before, these meetups are mainly casual social events for Wikipedia enthusiasts in which we chat about Wikipedia and any other topics we fancy. It's a great way to meet some very keen Wikipedians, but we'd also love for you to come along if you're interested in finding out more about Wikipedia, other Wikimedia projects, or other collaborative wiki projects too.
The location is a pub that is quite quiet and family friendly on a Sunday lunchtime, so hopefully younger Wikipedians will also feel welcome and safe. Alcohol consumption is certainly not required!
Although the meetups are popular, many UK-based editors still don't know about them. It would be great to welcome some fresh faces, so I hope you can come along.
Yours,
James F. ( talk) 09:27, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

Good evening! This is a friendly message from Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry, inviting you to the London Wikimedia Fundraising party on 19th December 2010, in approximately one week. This party is being held at an artistic London venue with room for approximately 300 people, and is being funded by Ed Saperia, a non-Wikipedian who has a reputation for holding exclusive events all over London. This year, he wants to help Wikipedia, and is subsidising a charity event for us. We're keen to get as many Wikimedians coming as possible, and we already have approximately 200 guests, including members of the press, and some mystery guests! More details can be found at http://ten.wikipedia.org/wiki/London - expect an Eigenharp, a mulled wine hot tub, a free hog roast, a haybale amphitheatre and more. If you're interested in coming - and we'd love to have you - please go to the ten.wikipedia page and follow the link to the Facebook event. Signing up on Facebook will add you to the party guestlist. Entry fee is a heavily subsidised £5 and entry is restricted to over 18s. It promises to be a 10th birthday party to remember! If you have any questions, please email me at chasemewiki at gmail.com.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on User:Rabhyanker, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.

Once I get a grasp on that, perhaps I may be able to formulate some ideas on how to attract more experienced engineers to become Wikipedians. It would be very helpful if you would respond to these a few questions:
If you would rather not answer these questions on your Talk page, then you may respond on my User talk:mbeychok page. Or you may respond to me via Wikipedia's email which I have enabled on my User:mbeychok page.

Hello,
I noticed that you have listed yourself as a Wikipedian in London, so I thought you might like to come to one of our monthly social meetups.
