If you can write a sentence or two argument for why you think this article should be deleted, I'd be happy to open an AFD on your behalf. You can take a look at WP:N, which outlines the policies on what articles are appropriate for wikipedia. Cheers. Abecedare ( talk) 15:42, 7 October 2009 (UTC) reply

An alternative to taking this article to AFD, would be to start a merge discussion at Talk:Demographics of Finland, and unless someone objects over the next few days, the Ethnic issues in Finland article can be merged with Demographics of Finland. Abecedare ( talk) 15:47, 7 October 2009 (UTC) reply
Okay, well: There's no proof of that the Finland is "one of the most ethnically homogeneous countries in Europe" nor that "prior to the 1990s, it was very difficult to immigrate into Finland". The native languages of Finland are not "Finnish, Swedish, Skolt Sami, Inari Sami, North Sami, Tatar"; they are just Finnish and Swedish as the article of Finland says. Therefore there's no factual content in the article about the ethnic issues in Finland. I would be delighted to see an article which is based on real sources but that is just nonsense. -- Tunnuz ( talk) 17:00, 7 October 2009 (UTC) reply
I have gone ahead and redirected the article to Demographics of Finland, since the ethnic issues page didn't contain any sourced content that was not covered and in the larger article, and, as you point out, even had factual errors. The latter could have been corrected but that still wouldn't justify having a content fork. Now it is possible that someone will undo my action, in which case we can discuss the issue further and try to reach a broader consensus.
Thanks for your input on the subject. Welcome to wikipedia and happy editing! Abecedare ( talk) 17:20, 7 October 2009 (UTC) reply
