who defines the Top level priority? looking at the history, it seems that you play a part. india's featured articles seem a little dry at the moment. there is a distinct lack of articles related to contemporary indian culture. what is there to show that india's culture is alive & kicking as opposed to stale & dead? even the page on mumbai shows little evidence of living culture. why isn't bollywood a Top level priority? i'd like the world to know more about modern india. for balance perhaps top priority show go to articles about; 'the changing attitudes to sex in india'. other Regional notice boards are more balanced. the irish are working on Father_Ted. the japanese on Education_in_Japan. Hi Tom, it was certainly a mistake on my part to redirect Maidan to Mysore region. But I did create the North Karnataka page, to cover the northern plateau region, and distributed relevant text to that page -- its just that I cannot redirect to two pages. So I am wondering if we can agree to delete the Maidan page, after making sure the two other pages contain relevant information? Because the 'Maidan' term is a WP innovation, coined three weeks ago. I googled for "Karnataka maidan" and, apart from mirror sites of WP, found only two sites using the term, neither of which is worth referencing. Guys this article has some fundamental flaws.
I have taken it upon me to render it some much needed facelifts. Any help would me highly appreciated. Holy Warrior Tej 16:30, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

I have been doing the cleanup of this article. I had to first restructure it to a large extent. I began rewriting it from a neutral point of view but carrying the essence of the legacy of Mahadji Shinde since April 2006. So far Ihave only finished "The youth of Mahadji Shinde". By the way I am reverting the cleanup-tone. All help would be apprciated especially photos or maps of the Scindia or Maratha dominion. Holy Warrior Tej 06:50, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
