Possible project topics for MC 4520: 1.) Religion and politics in the United States: One page exists; the pre-existing page emphasizes specific denominations and their impact on the seperation of church and state. My page will focus more on the USE of religious cues in political discourse and the research associated with Coe, Domke, and Putnam to name a few.
2.) Grendene Shoe Corporation: My former employer, the largest shoe manufacturer in Brazil; this article will feature the history and current state of this corporation. www.grendene.co.br (I could also edit the "jelly shoes" page, which is an underrepresentation of this pop culture fashion accessory.)
3.) education in the U.S.A. > I am not sure how I can add to the Wikipedia site on this topic. Education is a major topic of elections at the state, local, and federal levels. Curriculum, teaching trends, and test scores are all topics evaluated and implemented at the district or school level with no real round-up to what is effective. There are several pages related to associations, organizations, governments, and general definition of grades. However, with the reduction of civics in the classroom, some political scientists and mass media researchers suggest that students do not know how to function in a democracy. This page could offer insight into the requirements of courses and the success of some methods of learning.

Thanks for your interest in the article on Education in Kentucky. I agree that it is woefully inadequate, but that can be said of most of Wikipedia's articles. If you or someone you know is interested in improving the article but needs some assistance, drop a line on my talk page. I'd be glad to try and provide advice and assistance where needed.
