Theroadislong ( talk) 14:45, 30 September 2019 (UTC)This seems like a silly thing to get into an edit war about, so let's take care we are on the same page here :) Accepted Wikipedia style at this time tries to regularize common name usage across all organism articles by using consistent sentence style, as is laid out at MOS:COMMONNAMES. This does sometimes contrast with the style used in sub-disciplines, and it appears that botany is often one of those. However, the general consensus is that project-wide consistency should be the more important consideration. Cheers and thanks for your exceedingly well-developed articles! -- Elmidae ( talk · contribs)
The article List of Schoenus species has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Material moved back into Schoenus (plant) as this division of information made it awkward to reference and parent page was very short.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your
edit summary or on
the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the
proposed deletion process, but other
deletion processes exist. In particular, the
speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and
articles for deletion allows discussion to reach
consensus for deletion. —
