Request reason:

Hi, I totally respect trying to protect the integrity of Wikipedia, which I believe is the intent. However, I am trying to add correct information and sources. I don't think anyone actually looked into the sources I provided (which are all correct and accurate) before taking this action. Please review the source information (e.g. Burke's Peerage, search Janovitz; The Public Register of All Arms and Bearings in Scotland, 26 July 2021, Vol 96 Fol 16; or Scottish Barony Register). Therefore, I would urge you, after consideration, to not only unblock me but also re-instate the edits that were correctly made to this page. Happy to discuss further and thanks for your consideration.

Best,

Decline reason:

I've seen plenty of people here claming to be barons or knights or kings or elected officials or what have you. Even if what you claim is true, lists like that generally only list members that merit Wikipedia articles. One listing in one source is not the significant coverage of you needed for you to merit a Wikipedia article and as such you shouldn't necessarily be listed there even if it is true. As your only purpose in being here seems to be to tell the world that you are a baron, the stated reason for the block- not being here to build an encyclopedia- is correct. Please also see the autobiography policy. If you want to make contributions to Wikipedia that have nothing to do with yourself or your alleged barony, please tell what those might be in a new request. I am declining this one. 331dot ( talk) 09:02, 29 July 2024 (UTC) reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{ unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Fixed the formatting, your initial statement should replace the words "your reason here", as I've done for you. Additional comment does not need the formatting at all. 331dot ( talk) 08:52, 29 July 2024 (UTC) reply
