Hello and congratulations on creating your first article. :) It's great to have another contributer to sign-language-related stuff on wikipedia; I hope you stick around. i want to make a couple of comments about the PSE page — normally comments go on the relevant talk-page but as you seem a little unsure I thought I'd make a more personal note here. I hope you find my comments to be constructive and not discouraging. You mentioned that you don't know how to expand a stub into a full article; one way is to get other potential contributors looking at the page. This can be done by finding relevant articles and linking them to the new stub. There are a few of pages that already refer to PSE; just make the relevant text into a link to the PSE page! Also, the right category tag can help place the page in the context of related articles. Thirdly, you could just do some research and expand the page yourself. :P
Please keep in mind that Wikipedia is global. A PSE can arise between English and ASL as well as BSL, Auslan, NZSL, etc. I've corrected a few pages in the past which have unintentionally asssumed "sign language" equals ASL. To take the argument further, very similar phenomena occur between other sign languages and spoken/manually-coded languages (such as Signed German and DGS), so it would be good to include them in such a page, which could be named Contact Sign. There is another reason for choosing this name: even ASL linguistics now uses the term "Contact Signing" rather than PSE. This is because the PSE phenomenon doesn't really match the definition of a pidgin; it's a better fit with the term contact language. The last thing I want to mention about the term PSE is that it's often written as Pidgin Sign English rather than Pidgin Signed English. The name of the article should be the better/most common of the two, and the other term made to redirect there.
Of course I could (and might) go ahead and make these changes myself! But I wanted to encourage a dialog too. By the way, have you seen the Manually Coded English page? It has a section on PSE. Cheers, ntennis 01:52, 18 August 2005 (UTC)
Good job on the stub you made and I wanted to welcome you to Wikipedia too. I am sure you will do well. Qaz
I set up the disambiguation for you at NAD. I did not feel like putting much on the National Association for the Deaf article yet. It is currently sub stub. Feel free to add to it or if you don't I eventually will get around to making it at least a stub. I am sure in the near future, through our work and the contributions of others, it will evolve into a nice article. Qaz
The email I use for wikipedia seems to be having issues. Do you use an IM program and if so which one? Actually, I just changed the email that wikipedia goes to and then I tested it. It works now so just try it again and I should get it. Qaz ( talk) 22:57, 3 October 2005 (UTC)
Hello Beardy :) thanks for your message. I prefer to keep the discussion in one place so I replied on my talk page. Cheers, ntennis 01:08, 4 October 2005 (UTC)
Hi, Bearded One. I appreciate you going over the Gamemaster article. It was the product of a merge, so could use a bit of tweaking, thanks. However, I noticed you took out the D&D section of Gamemaster completely. Any particular reason? The article is a mix of the general and the specific, and D&D, love it or hate it, is the most popular RPG... GRuban 14:34, 20 December 2005 (UTC)

Hello, I'm toying with the idea of a WikiProject for roleplaying games. I see that you've edited RPG articles and I thought I should ask you what you think of the idea. Do you think it could be done and would you be interested in helping out? I'm a long-time reader, but I haven't hardly edited anything yet, so I would appreciate any ideas or suggestions you might have. I've talked a bit about it on my blog.
I don't want to start anything without following through, and I want to avoid starting something I can't finish. But a WikiProject would be a good way to coordinate efforts, and it would be easier to attract more people to improve RPG articles, don't you think? Jonas Karlsson 16:27, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
Me? I've never started or even participated in an actual WikiProject. I haven't read the pages concerning their goals (though I guess they're self-directed). I just patrol the rpg pages and make corrections and revert vandalism when I see it. What else do you envision? The Bearded One 04:51, 19 January 2006 (UTC)
Hello :)
There are now eight names on the project. What are your thoughts on if (and when) we should make it official, and move it from my namespace? Please respond to the open forum at User talk:Ntennis/Deaf WikiProject proposal. Thanks! ntennis 02:13, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
I have noticed that you are affiliated with sign language in one way or another. The article on CODAs needs quite a bit of work, and I think is an important article to have as a part of Wikipedia. I would like to invite you to participate in making it a better article. — Esprit15d 20:12, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
I agree with your intention, but I'm not sure if this is the right way to do it. I don't know any better solution tho, so go ahead if you want to put the category back in. LARP is just more of a genre to me than a simple term. -- Conti| ✉ 21:31, 21 February 2006 (UTC)
Hi The Beared One. I'm seeking opinions and possible support for an issue in which I'm in a debate with other Wikipedians. I'm trying to change indiscrimant use of the term "deaf-mute" in describing deaf people in general. To see some comments related to the issue, see Talk:The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter, as well as my own Talk page, User talk:Ward3001. You can also follow the links to other discussions. Right now I'm about the only person addressing the issue because deaf people are such a small minority. Other Wikipedians, with apparently no prior knowledge of the issue, are reverting my edits. If you're interesting in expressing your opinion, feel free to do so. If you wish to discuss further please leave me a message on my Talk page. Thanks. Ward3001 17:32, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
I notice you are a member of WikiProject Deaf. You may also add {{ User WikiProject Deaf}}, which also adds a userbox to your page, or [[ Category:WikiProject Deaf participants]] to your userpage. If you do, it will list you in Category:WikiProject Deaf participants. Taric25 19:57, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
Greetings. There is going to be a Washington DC Wikipedia meetup on next Saturday, July 21st at 5pm in DC. Since you are listed in Category:Wikipedians_in_Maryland, I thought I'd invite you to come. I'm sorry about the short notice for the meeting. Hopefully we'll do somewhat better in that regard next time. If you can't come but want to make sure that you are informed of future meetings be sure to list yourself under "but let me know about future events", and if you don't want to get any future direct notices \(like this one\), you can list yourself under "I'm not interested in attending any others either" on the DC meetup page.-- Gmaxwell 00:26, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
A {{

Brassy's Men, suggesting that it be deleted according to the
proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the article may not satisfy Wikipedia's
criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "
What Wikipedia is not" and
Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on
its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the
proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the
speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to
Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if
consensus to delete is reached.

Hey there. I've listed live action role-playing game for peer review and would appreciate any ideas you have for improving it for a later run at Featured Article status. Cheers, Ryan Paddy ( talk) 01:35, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
Hi there. You participated in a previous AFD on the article Judicial shamanism at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Judicial shamanism. You may be interested to know that a new article on the same subject has been created, and I have nominated it for deletion. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Judicial Shamanism. Robofish ( talk) 17:34, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
I have to say that I am completely against PSE not having its own page. I'm also completely against the blanket statements on the Contact Sign page that imply PSE, as a term, has faded from use. This is completely false and mind boggling to me. Unless there is a compelling reason not to, I intend to recreate the PSE page as time permits. Geofferic T• C✡ 15:48, 25 January 2011 (UTC)
Hello, I was just wondering if you ever happened upon the information you referenced on Talk:Nocebo. Thanks. RufioUniverse ( talk) 02:05, 3 June 2013 (UTC)
