Hello there, I hadn't noticed that you were editing the article at the same time. Sorry for all the edit conflicts I must have caused you. I read your edit summary here [1]. You are right in that "theodorian bear" is a hoax, it was introduced by some anymous editor at some point in time. I can't find anywhere on the article where the conservation status is listed.
