The info in this list (which is unreferenced) would be better placed in the 2011 in aviation article, where it should be suitably referenced. Not all accidents are mentionable on Wikipedia. As a rule of thumb, if an aircraft is substantially damaged then the accident is at least worth a mention (aircraft type, airline and airport articles as appropriate). The article List of aviation accidents and incidents of 2011 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your
edit summary or on
the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the
proposed deletion process, but other
deletion processes exist. The
speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and
articles for deletion allows discussion to reach
consensus for deletion. - If you disagree with the rationale I gave for proposing deletion of the article, then simply remove the notice from the article. Should you do this, I will take the article to
WP:AFD as a contested PROD. I'm not trying to get information on notable incidents removed, nor is the proposed deletion denegrating your editing of Wikipedia. It does take a while to learn all the ins and outs of what Wikipedi is and what it is
not. Think of this as part of the learning curve. Any questions please ask on my talk page.
