License tagging for Image:Jewehl.gif

Thanks for uploading Image:Jewehl.gif. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Unspecified source for Image:3pix.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:3pix.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{ GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{ non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 00:43, 9 July 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Videmus Omnia 00:43, 9 July 2007 (UTC) reply

Jewel images

Hello Stabora. You seem to be having some problems with images. I'm afraid that you don't own the copyright to an image if you just combined two images from other places. You would have to be the photographer for that. So all of these images of Jewel you have uploader are going to have to be deleted. I'm sorry, but it's our policy. Please stop uploading copyrighted images from other places, and only upload photographs you have taken yourself. Thanks, – Quadell ( talk) ( random) 18:43, 17 July 2007 (UTC) reply

Replaceable fair use Image:2mxew0i.jpg

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:2mxew0i.jpg. I noticed the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{ di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if not used in an article), per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. bluemask ( talk) 07:29, 29 September 2007 (UTC) reply

Speedy deletion of Image:Juweytivs.jpg

A tag has been placed on Image:Juweytivs.jpg, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD g12.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{ hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{ hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. Videmus Omnia Talk 04:33, 30 September 2007 (UTC) reply

License tagging for Image:LoveJewel.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:LoveJewel.jpg.

Jewel images

Hello Stabora. You seem to be having some problems with images. I'm afraid that you don't own the copyright to an image if you just combined two images from other places. You would have to be the photographer for that. So all of these images of Jewel you have uploader are going to have to be deleted. I'm sorry, but it's our policy. Please stop uploading copyrighted images from other places, and only upload photographs you have taken yourself. Thanks, – Quadell ( talk) ( random) 18:43, 17 July 2007 (UTC) reply

Unspecified source for Image:LoveJewel.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:LoveJewel.jpg.

If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 10:32, 19 July 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. bluemask ( talk) 10:32, 19 July 2007 (UTC) reply

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading [[:Image:]]. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 17:33, 7 August 2007 (UTC) reply

THIS IS NOT your own work

You were not the photographer. So this isn't your own work. You may have put the photos together into one collage, but you don't own the copyright. I'm going to block you a second time, this time for a week, for repeatedly uploading copyright violations. When you return, you are welcome to contribute works that you created entirely by yourself, but this does not include images that contain photographs taken by other people. If you continue uploading copyright violations, you will be blocked indefinitely. – Quadell ( talk) ( random) 17:49, 7 August 2007 (UTC) reply
