To get some practice editing you can
use a sandbox. You can
create your own personal sandbox for use any time. It's perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}}
on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click

Hi. You are taking your own time and that of others when you make changes to commas. See WP:Oxford comma. We have no preference either way, but somebody normally is on the job to check on whatever changes editors make, no matter why. Sincerely, BeenAroundAWhile ( talk) 20:09, 21 February 2020 (UTC)
@ BeenAroundAWhile: Hi, thank you for the feedback. I've been trying not to do many Oxford comma adjustments unless it's to enforce consistency within the article (as recommended by the guidelines) or unless the absence of the serial comma has led to a genuine clarity issue. More often I believe I've inserted missing commas in accordance with punctuation rules that are not elective, such as the need to place a comma both before and after a state when a city and state are listed (e.g. "he journeyed from Kansas City, Missouri, to New York" rather than "he journeyed from Kansas City, Missouri to New York"). But it's possible I've been making more elective Oxford comma adjustments than I realize out of a general desire to improve readability and in an embrace of the "be bold" ethic. I'll make an effort to be more conservative with those adjustments in the future out of consideration for the time of those reviewing the edits. Thanks again for bringing that element to my attention. SquidPebblePoliceman ( talk) 23:14, 10 March 2020 (UTC)
