Yes, the photograph has indeed been taken by satellite imagery administered under the license of Google Maps. I apologize for my mistake and I agree that you may remove this photograph. Thank You. Solo Toady ( talk) 11:57, 24 May 2012 (UTC)
Greetings! I see you have recently created one or more new stub templates or categories. As it states at Wikipedia:Stub, at the top of most stub categories, and in many other places on Wikipedia, it is recommended that new stub types be proposed prior to creation at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals. This helps to reach consensus about whether the new stub type is already covered by existing stub types, whether it is named according to stub naming guidelines, whether it is otherwise correctly formatted, whether it reaches the standard threshold for creation of a new stub type, and whether it crosses existing stub type hierarchies. Your new stub type is currently listed at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Discoveries, where comments are welcome as to any rationale for this stub type. Please, in future, consider proposing new stub types first at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals! This message is a boilerplate, left here as a courtesy, and should not be considered personal in nature. Redrose64 ( talk) 20:20, 15 July 2012 (UTC)

A very big WELCOME to WikiProject Gastropods for you, a new member! We are delighted that you decided to join the Project! Thank you .. JoJan ( talk) 16:05, 10 December 2012 (UTC) |
Thank you JoJan, to my delight, I appreciate the warm welcoming to an exciting Wikiproject. I too, have an interest in Gastropods and the family of Pyramidellidae mollusks, I hear you are a professional at that topic as well, keep up the phenomenal work, mate! I am looking forward to editing articles involved with Gastropods!!! Solo Toady ( talk) 05:30, 11 December 2012 (UTC)
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi, I'm Kudpung. Solo Toady, thanks for creating Bartrumella kaawaensis!
I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Please provide refernces
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.
Hey Toady, nice work with the Pyramidellidae articles! I see you've been quite proactive lately. It's good to have you with us at Wikiproject Gastropods! Please, remember to check the validity of the taxon using WoRMS when creating a new article, in order to avoid duplicity. WoRMS is not foolproof but it's good enough. Best wishes! -- Daniel Cavallari ( talk) 14:48, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
Yes, I have to admit I've dedicated many hours of my time to improving the Pyramidellidae stub articles, I am willing to contribute to all the articles in that category, however, it will be very time consuming. I hope you are enjoying contributing as much as I am. Happy editing! Solo Toady ( talk) 01:16, 19 December 2012 (UTC)
Hello, Solo Toady, and thank you for your contributions!
An article you worked on Apicalia, appears to be directly copied from http://www.marinespecies.org/aphia.php?p=taxdetails&id=536098. Please take a minute to make sure that the text is freely licensed and properly attributed as a reference, otherwise the article may be deleted.
It's entirely possible that this bot made a mistake, so please feel free to remove this notice and the tag it placed on Apicalia if necessary. MadmanBot ( talk) 01:25, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for creating Apicalia chuni, Solo Toady!
Wikipedia editor Kudpung just reviewed your page, and wrote this note for you:
When creating very short articles, perhaps you could consider adding the stub tag to them, and the project template to the talk page, in the chance that they might be picked up by someone who may wish to expand them.

Hello Solo Toady, and Welcome!!! I was happy to see you had joined the gastropod project. I Just got back from 2 weeks on a shelling trip with almost no internet connection. I was delighted to see that you are working on the Pyramidellidae, a very voluminous but poorly understood group. I wanted to ask you if you would do one thing, which is that when you create a new gastropod article, could you also put the gastropod project template on the talk page of the new article? That would save us a lot of work. If it is a species article and it is a stub, and it has no photo, you could put:
{{WikiProject Gastropods|class=stub|importance=low|needs-photo=yes}}
A genus article would have the same thing but with importance=mid.
If you could do that it would be really great. Many thanks, Invertzoo ( talk) 23:58, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for creating Asterophila japonica, Solo Toady!

Thank you for commenting on my work. It was great that you found out about this unknown species. It is great that these small sources can make such a good article. I hope you enjoy your holidays as well, Merry Christmas and have a happy new year! Springyboy ( talk) 06:42, 24 December 2012 (UTC)
Hello again Solo Toady. Can I mention a couple more things? I just wanted to ask that, all through an article, it would be better if you would put all of the Latin genus and species names into italics, not only just in the taxobox and in the first mention of the name. Also, when you create a taxobox for a genus, you don't need to use the "Binomial name" field at all, you just put ... genus = ... and then ...genus_authority = ... , like that.
In the taxobox you can put the genus name in boldface and in italics, as it is the title of the article. I started fixing the last few of your new stubs here, and I changed the prose a little bit too in a couple of them, but I won't have time today to go through any of them throughly, let alone fixing up all of your new stubs. However my edits on the last few will give you some idea of what I am talking about. All very best wishes to you,
Invertzoo ( talk) 19:15, 24 December 2012 (UTC)
And thanks for the delicious cupcake! :) Invertzoo ( talk) 13:36, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
I totally forgot to wish you a very Merry Christmas! Forgive me! I hope yours went well! Invertzoo ( talk) 19:01, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
Just wanted to explain that when I wrote that you don't need the binomial field in the taxobox, that was only the case for genus articles. You need to use it in all the species articles.
And I also wanted to explain that the phrase "marine terrain" is an oxymoron, a contradiction in terms, the word terrain being used only for land masses, not submarine surfaces.
Thanks for all your hard work, Invertzoo ( talk) 18:58, 28 December 2012 (UTC)

For all the good work you Solo Toady have already put into WikiProject Gastropods, making many stubs for the Pyramidellidae, a fascinating but generally overlooked family of mostly minute sea snails, I award you this Gastropod Barnstar. Congratulations! All the very best wishes for 2013! Invertzoo ( talk) 19:47, 1 January 2013 (UTC) |
I was happy to be able to congratulate you on your work here. Wikipedia is a wonderful free resource, a staggering world-wide achievement, and an extraordinary place that is powered entirely by volunteer work. I remember how I felt a few years ago when I was given my first Barnstar: just great! Suit yourself with what you do, and how much you do of it. Be careful not to burn out. Every little bit helps and sometimes all we can do is just a little bit. Best wishes to you SoloToady, Invertzoo ( talk) 19:40, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
