Welcome!

Hello, Slrobinson555, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Shalor and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Hi! To edit your sandbox you just need to hit the edit button and then click on any place in your sandbox. If you're using VisualEditor, it's a lot like editing a Word document.

Here are some guides on editing in your sandbox: [1], [2]. This may help as well. Shalor (Wiki Ed) ( talk) 14:36, 11 October 2018 (UTC) reply

  • Hi! Can you be a bit more specific on what type of issues you're running into with your sandbox? To edit you should be able to click on the edit option, then click on any place in the sandbox (other than the main box at the top of the page, if this is present) and type like you would a Word document. Once you're done, you would press "publish changes" to save your edits. If you're not seeing a Word-like setup, you may not have Visual Editor enabled. If this is the case, you can enable it by following the directions here. As far as documents go, are you trying to add external documents like PDFs to the article? If so, then there's no real way to do that at this point in time. If you want, you can email me at stoncray@wikiedu.org with further questions. -- Shalor (Wiki Ed) ( talk) 21:23, 7 November 2018 (UTC) reply
