Kingdom of Nri

Hello Sire rich, I undid your recent edits to the Kingdom of Nri article because it was not written in the Mode of Style Wikipedia stands by. The main problem with your edits is that much of it contains original research, opinions, and facts that are not supported by a source or citation from a reputable academic publication. Your edits are really appreciated, but in order to maintain the quality of the article (currently a Good Article) we all need to follow these rules to ensure readers get a balanced and accurate account. Remember this is an encyclopaedia after all. Ukabia - talk 00:14, 17 March 2015 (UTC) reply

Sire rich, there's no need to worry about losing edits that you have made since all your edits on every page are saved on the page history unless they've been deleted permanently by an administrator. The article per your last edits can be found here. I understand what it is like spending time on edits and having them rejected, this was how I learnt the MOS of Wikipedia. Wikipedia values all your good information. A good way to learn how to edit articles is to look at good articles and featured articles. A lot of what you wrote had what is called original research in a style that isn't 'anonymous' and encyclopaedic. Example:

Selective breeding was practiced to the extent that dwarfish men were advised to seek the aid of respectable youths to produce their children. Whether that was true or false does not matter but it was quite evident that the people were marked out for their great heights.

"Whether that was true or false does not matter" is a strange thing to put in an encyclopaedia that prioritises absolute facts because it suggests an opinion by the editor. A way to write that would have been to cite a source that acknowledges conflicting information regarding the selective breeding and to write something like Source A has noted conflicting information from Nri oral history that supports and disclaims selective breeding among the people of Diodo.
With large edits like this, I would spend some time editing it away from the article until it is ready to be added to the main article. Some editors do this by creating a page under their username. Hopefully this helps. Ukabia - talk 09:47, 17 March 2015 (UTC) reply
Since there's much information you can provide (obviously with reliable sources as stated before), you may want to create separate articles on various subjects which you can reference briefly in the main Nri article and then go into depth on the separate page. For example, you can create an article for Diodo. That would be helpful. Since you are new to wikipedia, if you need help with the articles I'm available to help you.
