Thanks for asking first. It seems to have sort of happened for personal psychological reasons as I mentioned, in order to maintain productive editing without getting too bogged down in other stuff or just leaving entirely (though my intention at the time I finished the accounts was to leave and good riddance). Looking at WP:Sock I have not had an "Improper purpose", but for all I know I may be considered to have violated one or two of the Inappropiate Uses listed there - although there is the similarity of the nicks and open references to previous comments made with older nicks.
