Thank you. [1] Walter Siegmund (talk) 05:03, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an
edit war according to the reverts you have made on
Billy the Kid. Users are expected to
collaborate with others, to avoid editing
disruptively, and to
try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. -- WV ● ✉ ✓ 04:53, 30 January 2016 (UTC)
Your recent editing history at Billy the Kid shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. -- WV ● ✉ ✓ 04:59, 30 January 2016 (UTC)

Hello and
welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to
talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to
sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Please stop your
disruptive editing. If you continue to
vandalize pages by deliberately introducing incorrect information, as you did at
Billy the Kid, you may be
blocked from editing. None of your edits are sourced and are not in line with sources attached to the content. You need to stop editing the article disruptively NOW. If you do not, your account will end up blocked. --

What is incorrect in my edits? I gave you the sources (if you'd look, the TW article is already footnoted there) and I gave you links to the spurious Tom O'Folliard photo.
The sad thing is, wikipedia let someone post this photo - with the only "source" being the claim on their own website that's it's him, and that's proof enough for you? This is why people don't trust wikipedia.
You may be
blocked from editing without further warning the next time you
vandalize Wikipedia by deliberately introducing incorrect information, as you did at
Billy the Kid. Last warning. --

This is your only warning; if you
vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did at
Billy the Kid, you may be
blocked from editing without further notice. Your behaviour on BTK is appalling. Seriously.

Hi. Regarding your removal of the image I added to Dave Rudabaugh, if you are certain that it is not his image, could you please remove its association to Rudabaugh on wikidata as well? Otherwise someone else will probably add it back in later. Aithus ( talk) 16:15, 12 July 2022 (UTC)
