Please join me at the Jay Chou talk page to discuss our edits and reverts. — Parhamr 05:16, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
I'm impressed, the list looks nice and you did 95% of the work when you started the page, keeping the history so neat, great work!
However I think the article should be rename more appropriately tho...because he has had a few concerts where he performed songs written by other artists, and he has also collaborated with other singers like Coco Lee, etc. Currently the songs are all from the 7 albums he has released, so maybe naming it as 'List of published songs by Jay Chou' should be more fitting.
Great work on the list nonetheless~

Hey it's me again. Haha, don't worry about it, I just wanted to expand the opening paragraph, as I still feel it is too short for a featured article candidate, but the best I got at that time was just a couple of lines ><
What I don't get is why the alias of '周董' was deemed to be 'unencyclopedic'? Anyways, let's hope the FAC goes smoothly!

The Jay Chou article is really informative! Since I neither speak nor read Chinese, it's a great resource that allows me to learn more about him. I definitely added my support to the FAC nomination page!-- bakuyaku 20:14, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

I wanted S.H.E to become the first C-pop article to get featured, but I knew that there wasn't going to be enough resources to elaborate the article extensively. I had a bias towards the article so I didn't want to touch the Jay Chou article, so then it wouldn't become featured first. But once you came along, and expanded it extensively, my worst fears pretty much came true. With now an almost unanimous support base, despite S.H.E being the first C-pop article rated as "good", Jay Chou will be the first to be featured. Ah well. Silver medals aren't that bad, eh. But concessions aside, I would like to ask - no, plead - you to help me with the S.H.E article. Copyediting, researching, anything. Maybe you could ask people to help collaborate to help the article, anything. I know I've been selfish with the Jay Chou article (or rather against it), but there were times that I did help (I think). Let me know what you think. - Pandacomics 15:59, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
You rock, Mr/Ms. Ph.D (candiate?). I'll see if I can work on A-Mei next, seeing as she's the next closest to GA/FA status (and unlike S.H.E, she actually has English-media coverage). What do you think about suggesting a Wikiproject C-pop to Wikiproject China? - Pandacomics 17:45, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
Ok, in that case then, I want to emphasize the decline in their TV careers, since the section attempts to sketch a timeline of their television careers. Would I still end up just simplifying it to that? But then again, with the simplicity, I might not even need that middle section. Bahhhhhh. - Pandacomics 03:03, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
Hopefully, I've addressed your comments concerning the nomination of Providence, Rhode Island for FA status. When you get a moment, I'd appreciate your input concerning revised article. Thanks.-- Loodog 04:19, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
After discussion with one of the tenders of the FAC page, he agreed to let me nominate again immediately. As such, here it is. Again, I'd appreciate as much feedback as you can give.--Loodog 14:19, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
You're very welcome! Service with a smile! My userpage has already been vandalised twice today do to reverting vandalism and warning the idiots who put it there. Lra drama 16:12, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
Hey, Selene. I've been thinking about the lead for the S.H.E article. How would one such as myself transition from all the rosy stuff to a little tidbit on the group's politically controversial nature, not to mention that they cover a lot of songs (that is to say, criticism)?
Also, I think you're right about the whole ratings thing for dramas. Nice numbers but they really should be nuked and blown up and probably moved to their respective drama pages.
Thirdly, on the image part, I really only have five links to describe their "image." I have no idea how to expand on those like you did with Jay's public image (granted, he has 100000000x more news exposure). Thanks. - Pandacomics 12:12, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
It's pretty hard to cite television shows / Youtube, but I will try with the lyrical content. - Pandacomics 21:02, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
Thanks, anytime! Though I must say it definitely helps to have someone write such a good Jay Chou article :] Arsonal 19:57, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
The "Background" section is really killing me. I can't believe I wrote it, haha. There are so many awkward phrases. And I was just wondering, would it be a good idea to insert a paragraph about the Girls Dorm experience? Part of me says yes, because it would transition into the Musical Career part nicely. The other part of me says no, because the article is really long right now. Another question I have is about the Musical Style section, and the Lyrics part. I want to expand it to include some of their songs which include "nonsense lyrics", but me giving the songs that term would be in violation of original research (because I am terming the lyrics as such). Also, "Album Structure." Should I destroy that section? Because it doesn't serve much of a use other than defining what a zhuda is. - Pandacomics 19:58, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
The DJ's over at RTHK (namely Angela Au) made a web drama with Jay lately, cleverly named "No Secrets" based on the film, so I have no idea how to include that in the filmography seeing it's based on the web. Pandacomics 17:10, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
I've looked at the page a few times, and I couldn't help thinking, "Is the 'Composed by' field really necessary?" I mean, by definition, all of the songs in that list are composed by Jay anyway. Pandacomics ( talk) 00:28, 13 December 2007 (UTC)

I have nominated Jay Chou for a featured article review here. Please join the discussion on whether this article meets featured article criteria. Articles are typically reviewed for two weeks. If substantial concerns are not addressed during the review period, the article will be moved to the Featured Article Removal Candidates list for a further period, where editors may declare "Keep" or "Delist" the article's featured status.
