Dear Scarian,
Thank you for applying for NPWatcher! Unfortunately, your application has been declined because you've made only a handful of CSD in December, and not many even earlier, and the denied request are, unfortunately, too many compared to the sum of your nominations. As such, I am uncomfortable in favourably processing your application. We will surely welcome an application in the future.

...for your support in my recently closed Request for Adminship. I am more than a bit stunned by the outcome, which appears to have finished at 146 supports, no opposes, and one abstention. I am particularly grateful to Keilana and Kingboyk for their recent encouragement, and most specifically to Pastordavid, for having seen fit to nominate me. I also want to make it very clear to everyone that I have no intentions of changing my name again, so the servers should be safe for a while.
In the event you ever believe that I would ever able to assist in the future, I would be honored if you were to contact me regarding the matter. I can't guarantee results, unfortunately, but I will do what I can. Thank you again.
By the way, I know the image isn't necessarily appropriate, but I am rather fond of it, and it at least reflects the degree of honor I feel at the result. And it's hard to go wrong with a Picture of the Year candidate.
Now, off to a few last tasks before starting work in earnest on the various templates I promised I'd work on.

This edit (read the edit summary carefully) is Libs pushing the limits of WP:BOLD and exposing Libsy's "plus grande nads" to all Wiki and seeing just how long it takes a logo crufter to rv the edit. I believe, based on both the policy and the long overdue discussion on it... that the edit is a valid one. Wikipedia, by it's own mandate, is to be a free encyclopedia promoting free-use content when/wherever possible. You just cannot get any more free-use than plain text. Most bands copyright their logos and therefore using them requires well worded fair-use rationale. And if free-use always wins out over fair-use... I think my edit summary is noble, just and true. Time will tell. Do you agree? Do you disagree? Do you have a third opinion. I would be most interested in finding out. And I invite you to go ahead and invite anyone you wish into the conversation. Perhaps the discussion can be moved to my static IP page where it can be an informal chat... rather than a discussion... leading to consensus... leading to guidelines... leading to policies... and all that other Wiki-crap :D . Scarian, i would like to apologize for appearing as though i was trying to harass you, i'm just now getting the hang of how to communicate/ reply to other users, with that said and hopefully cleared up, i still can't say i found it right to revert my edit on the AC/DC page because it appears you either never heard of them at all, or know little about them, since the song i noted they performed at that particular concert, Big Balls was an actual song, and one of their most known, which is why i jump to the assumption. Even though you unfairly reverted my noting of what song they were playing when the picture was taken, i'm not going to attempt to edit anymore, nor will i make anymore trouble, or at least knowingly. Hi. I decided to withdraw my RFA because most voters said that I needed more experience (and they're probably right; 1,500 edits isn't too many) and I just wanted to say that I'm happy to accept your offer to coach me. Could you start by please explaining to me the concept of "admin recall"? I don't totally understand it. Thank you very much.-- Urban Rose 19:35, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for the explanation of recall. As for experience, basically I'm looking for ways to become a more well-rounded editor. A few questions I have are: 1. How many edits should I have accumulated before trying another RFA? 2. How many of those edits should be mainspace? (I'm assuming that vandalism reversion doesn't qualify as mainspace edits.) 3. What are some admin tasks I can involve myself in without actually having the tools? 4. What are some easy mainspace activities to get involved in? Thanks again.-- Urban Rose 19:56, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

I'm sorry, but flags are not generally considered inappropriate on band pages. We had a huge debate over this over on MOSFLAG, and there was no consensus either way. Yes, they are inappropriate in a person's infobox, but bands are a different story. I assume good faith as a rule, but that "IP address user" is not contributing to Wikipedia, he/she is merely removing trifling things he/she doesn't like without discussion on talk pages, and it's just going to cause a huge problem. -- Managerpants ( talk) 12:03, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
Nav the Viking Goddess is having struggles all over Wiki this morning :D . Some people have an extremely hard time with WP:CON when it conflicts with their personal POV. They are the worst sort of editors. I'll take a simple vandal anytime over a soapboxer, POV pusher, a crufter, an agenda-ist or...ungh... worst of them all... inclusionists. Do you wanna know why 90% of Wiki articles suck? It's because 90% of its editors do too. that's my mornings worth of philosophical wit shot to Hell in one edit... but it's goin' on my talk page :D Welcome to the 10% club my friend! 156.34.142.110 ( talk) 13:09, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

We never got a chance to sort this out yesterday, but I'm over it. I know you and Libs are friends, and I also know that I want no part of edit warring. I just got very upset when I saw scores of what I believe to be meaningless edits from that IP range, and then even more upset when he spoke condescendingly to me with that "I am never wrong" attitude. The problem with typing is that you can't always tell when someone's joking, being sarcastic, or really has a giant ego. :-) Anyway, happy editing! -- Managerpants ( talk) 11:47, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
Seeing that user 156.34.xxx.xxx who is never wrong http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:156.34.142.110, has so many talk pages because he's anonymous, I'm posting on this page. User 156.34.xxx.xxx deleted my Yamano Gakki reference links that are essential to my history section on the Orville by Gibson page, These links show that Yamano Gakki obtained the Gibson dealership in 1987 which I make reference to in the History section. User 156.34.xxx.xxx then puts a unverified claims tag on the page in between deleting some of my references. No wonder I might have unverified claims.
Guitarspecs ( talk) 13:43, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
Well you deleted Yamano Gakki History links that show the year in which Yamano Gakki became the Gibson agent in Japan. The catalogue prices are not just copy and paste and they are there because I am showing that various Orville guitar models were equivalent in original selling price which many second hand owners do not realize and the catalogue prices and models tie in with the Yamano Gakki/Gibson Orville history. The Orville by Gibson page has also Japanese web users using English to Japanese translators so has been written with this in mind.

I think we tried to revert at the same time and I beat you to it....I had to go back a few revisions to find a good one. And now that I'm looking again...I still think I have to go back more. -- R Parlate Contribs @ 17:35, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
This knob is stalking my logo cleaning. I reported him to John. I wish KOS hadn't quit. Wiki needs admins with balls. 156.34.215.223 ( talk) 11:32, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

Nevermind... it was Lemons-etc talking to himself. Caught him re-adding his own IP edits amongst his edit history. Hard to keep track of the crufters. Pepe-les-pew may still be a sock... but the IP and Lemons are one in the same... garONtea :D . 156.34.142.110 ( talk) 15:25, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for your kind words, but no apology is necessary. You did what you thought was right at the time, and that's all we can do. I do plan on running again, but not until the full six months has passed. I've still got three more to go :) Van Tucky 20:51, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
<font=3> Thanks for your support, my
request for adminship passed 60/0/0 yesterday!
I want to thank Mrs.EasterBunny and Royalbroil for nominating me, those who updated the RfA tally, and everyone for their support and many kind words. To paraphrase a president ... I wish my mum and dad could see the comments made. My dad would be so proud to see the comments ... and my mum would have believed them". I will do my best to use the new tools carefully and responsibly (and you may be surprised to find that I have not deleted all of the pages by accident..... yet). Did I just catch you reverting a perfect edit by perfect little ol' me???. Now THAT's funny! :D. You didn't issue a warning. Hey there, I saw you dropped me a line on IRC the other day. Did you get help with whatever you needed? Glass Cobra 01:09, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

You're joking, right? That is not vandalism. I am not up to no good. -- 208.138.31.76 ( talk) 15:50, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
I most certainly did not vandalize! I was making a valid point, thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.92.207.153 ( talk) 16:02, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
is true.
This is a school computer, so by banning one person, you are blocking everyone on this server's contributions.
The information about Conner is true, though. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.92.207.153 ( talk) 16:18, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the ideas at the reference desk as to my computer's choppiness. It only happened for a short while in the game, so it may have been a bug or some other anomaly. Useight ( talk) 01:07, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
Your RfMOP will succeed because of your kindness to anons.( that and the fact that you've earned it 10 times over I hereby declare that any editor who opposes that nom is a completely useless tw*t who should be blocked from editing... and de-sysop'd if they're an admin. Now.... we wait.... see which an*l minority does oppose... and then create a fun little sandbox f*ckn*ts list that we can poke fun at... stalk and revert all their edits... rip the heads off their dolls... throw sand in their faces... call them na.... ohhh nevermind :D 156.34.210.147 ( talk) 02:01, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
