Hi, I noticed that you say you are unable to edit the Presley article, and it's simply because it's not open to editors with less than (I think, but it might be less) 10 edits. I think you would be a very welcome addition to the article as an editor, and therefore I would encourage you to check out a few random articles and make some very minor edits simply to achieve the number of edits required to be able to edit the Presley article. I found that the easiest way to do this was to click Random Article under the navigation tab to the left of the page, and edit a few spelling mistakes. I also discovered that editing other articles I had an interest in that weren't locked (for example, a few other Presley articles such as films, songs etc..) was an easy way to get some experience and unlock articles such as the main Presley one.
I hope that you find the above suggestions useful and put them into practice, as I really do believe that your input on the Presley article would be an advantage. ElvisFan1981 ( talk) 19:17, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for the info. I just started on Wikipedia. The reason I started on the Elvis page is that it seemed like something I could weigh in on as an average reader/non editor. I don't have access to a lot of published in print Elvis material. I gave up partly because the morale of the editors seemed so low and I didn't seem to make much of an impact. If the current editors think that my comments might be helpful then I'll meet the requirements to become an editor. It might be a few days before I can begin though. Thanks again. Hello Rikidozan89,yes the morale of the editors is pretty low alright,but it's not anything you've caused,it's been there for quite some time already. I don't actually edit the main page,never have. I just put out different things and bring them up on the talk page,where I think they may help improve the article, that's all. Thanks for the comments but I've decided not to become a regular editor/commentator. I only planned to point out what I thought were a few obvious blunders on one article.
