If you'd like there's a PD, I think, of the 1928 Myrna Loy film State Street Sadie. ( lobby card) I remembered this title cause of the lobby card at Loy's "The Girl from Chicago" 1927. I have a few others on a list but I don't have the list with me as I type. I just remembered the two Myrna Loy silents, sadly now lost. On infobox, I think a lot of people went over to Citizendium and found they couldn't be in charge so easily. So they came back here in a more aggressive manner many trying to institute aggressive wP rulisms. It's getting kind of loopy so I can see why many Wiki vets like 'Doc Blofeld' are maybe opting out. WP articles are supposed to have a degree of brevity, not to be rambling novelas or dime-novels, wouldn't you agree? Some article on WP are outragishly long ie Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe, Charles Manson etc.

WeHope, that's a nice list with some great poster and lobby card selections. The ones I like are "The Primrose Ring", "The Quitter", "All of a Sudden Norma". I will continue to peruse that list. Yes, I am interested in the lost and/or silent films particularly features, but I find myself doing short films too after I had promised myself years ago that I wouldn't when I started doing the films. In some cases it makes no sense to do a person's filmography unless you work on shorts because some performers may have started when films were 1, 2, & 3 reel norm and stopped. Take for instance Francis X. Bushman, Mary Ryan or Miriam Nesbitt. The talkies are much better covered by many an editor but not everything is there. I do the talkies I really like ie Running Scared or James Joyce's Women to name two or ones that haven't no article. I remember an A&E hour long special on the Astor Family and their internal battles to outdo each in building a Waldorf Hotel then an Astor beside it and back to enlarging the Waldorf section. They finally joined the two hotels and thats how the Waldorf-Astoria(original) came about. It was torn down to make way for the Empire State Building now occupying the site. Real interesting A&E program on the Astors. I wish it was on Youtube.
I found some interesting lobby poster or cards I had written down that I would love to see in their articles. I have a few others but haven't done the articles for them yet. Then I'll be all caught up.
these probably non-PD or otherwise, but you can make a choice if they're worthy of going to WikiCommons

Neither "homophobic" nor "fervently" appears in either cited text. I searched Carpenter using Amazon 'Look Inside' and Weeks using Google Books. To check, the term 'homosexual' appeared in both books but in neither case was this in connection to Gielgud. The word 'homophobia' is obviously a recent addition to the lexicon and was unknown when the cited books were written. Maybe the references are about Maxwell Fyfe being keen to have homosexuals arrested, but to make the claim of 'fervent homophobia' about Maxwell Fyfe - a secondary player in the article - is possibly a bit of agenda pushing. Would you please change the article, using either the wording I initially used, or something else that is encyclopedic. Thanks. 31.52.165.95 ( talk) 22:00, 14 May 2017 (UTC)

Thank you for those series of cards starring Miss Gladys Hulette in Prudence the Pirate. Great visual references to a film that is lost and looks like it was a lot of fun. Lobbies, heralds and posters make great and fun visuals to films both lost and extant. We can only hope for this film to turn up one day. Today's Pirates of the Caribbean movies are phenomenally successful being pirate movies. Who would've ever thought in this day and age. One of my favorites is a 1952 movie called Caribbean Gold(1953) but also known simply as "Caribbean". You would probably like it too if you got a chance to view it. Let me commend you on this very excellent entry you've worked on concerning Renee Harris. Those contemporary newspaper articles on Mrs. Harris being the first female theatre manager, owner and producer in America is stretching it a bit. Both Laura Keene and Louisa Lane Drew were managers and producers in the Victorian era. The actress Margaret Anglin produced Greek Tragedies at UCLA Berkeley around the time of the Titanic and Lusitania tragedies. Perhaps those newspapers should have stated that Mrs. Harris was the only woman 'at the time'(circa 1918,1920) who was producing and managing as well as owning theatres. I justed wanted to fill in some gaps. Cheers again for a great article. All my best. Koplimek ( talk) 02:47, 28 November 2017 (UTC)

Hi, I was wondering if I could upload this image? Would it be fair use? The rabbi died in 1945. Thanks, Yoninah ( talk) 21:36, 12 November 2017 (UTC)
Unfortunately we don't celebrate it in the UK but all the best and thankyou for your work in the contest.♦ Dr. Blofeld 21:26, 23 November 2017 (UTC)

Hi, I was wondering if the album cover on this page is public domain or fair use? It looks like it was produced in the early 1950s. Thanks, Yoninah ( talk) 23:43, 27 November 2017 (UTC)

Hi, I wrote an article about a little-known (today) Hasidic Rebbe in Winnipeg and someone requested an image. The only image that's being used in various sources appears here under the headline. This image is used in other sources as well, e.g. [1]. The Rebbe died in 1947 and he looks pretty old here. Is there any way I can download it, and what license should I put on it? Thanks, Yoninah ( talk) 22:25, 10 January 2018 (UTC)
I responded to your message on my talk page. I want to help you and get anything taken care of if we need to. Get back to me on my talk page when you can - let's work together and get this resolved :-) ~Oshwah~ (talk) (contribs) 04:25, 14 January 2018 (UTC)

I am confused as to why you are trying to get all of the photographs I have uploaded, correctly and with the right licence, deleted? JimmyJoe87 ( talk) 16:54, 21 January 2018 (UTC)
If a first lady had an "official portrait" made, does that qualify as made by the government and where would one look to find it? I'm not really interested in her, per say, but the gown by Frankie Welch she was wearing [2] in the photo December 24, 1975. Can you help? SusunW ( talk) 06:40, 22 January 2018 (UTC)
