Speedy deletion nomination of Rail Plus

{{ unblock-spamun|RailGuru|At the time of creating this account I could not find the rules of creating a username, or the rules about what can and cannot be posted. I feel this new name better reflects my intent, as I have vast knowledge of trains and the train networks and wish to be informative, however I didn't realise that my additions were considered promotional. Apologies for the rule breaking. Now I know where the rules are located and I will read them and comply with editing policy. ( Rail Plus Australia ( talk) 22:43, 28 December 2009 (UTC))}} reply

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

You've been unblocked so you can change your username. You must not make any edits to articles under the present account, until its name is changed. Be aware that the indef block is likely to be restored if the admins perceive that you are making any promotional edits under the new account. EdJohnston ( talk) 18:10, 30 December 2009 (UTC) reply

How does this work?

{{ helpme}} Does this mean that my Username is now RailGuru? My old Username appears everywhere else still and I would like it all to reflect my new username. Do I need to sign in using my new username? To the left of my "talk" link at the very top of my page it still has my old username, as well as having the Speedy deletion of my old username on my talk page. Thank you for your assistance RailGuru 22:35, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

Yes, you should sign in using your new username. When you append four tildes to your comments on Talk pages, it ought to show 'RailGuru'. Your last comment above does not seem to have been signed the way most people do it, because the signature has no blue links in it. Maybe you have your signature preferences set to something unusual. Be sure *not* to check the box which says 'Sign my name exactly as shown.' EdJohnston ( talk) 02:30, 12 January 2010 (UTC) reply

That's more like it! Though you don't really need the parens around your signature; that's as you wish. EdJohnston ( talk) 04:49, 13 January 2010 (UTC) reply

Is there a way to have this section "Speedy deletion nomination of Rail Plus" removed from mytalk page? RailGuru ( talk) 23:29, 13 January 2010 (UTC) reply
