Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

- I tagged this image as being public domain in the US. However, could you please add some details as to where you got this image from? I was unable to find it via a Google image search. It would help too if we knew who the artist was, as the artist's date of death could determine if the image is public domain worldwide or not.
