Speedy deletion nomination of Yama rauf

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Yama rauf requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://hnmag.ca/festivals/women-food-and-zombies-in-east-van-short-films/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Advice

Once an article has been deleted after a deletion discussion such as Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/No Woman, you should not simply keep posting it again and again.

Since your latest version had a new reference, I have not speedy-deleted it, but "Userfied" it - moved into your "user space" at User:Privatesoul222/No Woman, where you can work on it. In my opinion, it is not ready for the encyclopedia, and if posted again and nominated for deletion, it would probably be deleted again. The "notability" standard for films is explained at WP:Notability (films). Just being nominated at a festival, among many others, does not count for much, and it seems that "Rogue Films" will review anything that is sent to them, which reduces the value of that source.

If you think you have overcome the reasons for deletion, you should first ask the administrator who closed the discussion, in this case The Bushranger; if he does not agree, you can appeal at WP:Deletion review.

I see that on the deleted talk page you wrote "The article you deleted before was a complete one so I don't have that now". I will email a copy to you. Regards, JohnCD ( talk) 23:21, 18 February 2016 (UTC) reply

Conflict of Interest?

Do you have any connection with the maker of the film? It seems to be the only topic on which you are interested in editing the encyclopedia. Please be aware of WP:COI if you are connected with the film in any way. Thanks. Pam D 13:46, 24 July 2016 (UTC) reply

Bad editing

You edit here was so badly formatted and confusing that another editor reverted it. For some reason I chose to spend my time tidying it up. But in future please take the trouble to learn how to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. If you won't take that trouble, please don't damage the encyclopedia any more by adding confusing and badly formatted material. In particular we never use heading level 1 (with just a single =), and we don't SHOUT IN CAPITALS. Pam D 09:21, 5 October 2016 (UTC) reply
