Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Hi Pr unni, Thanks for leaving a message on my talk page.
There are other sites on the some of the articles your link was removed from that should not be linked and over time they will be removed too. On a couple of articles I had the time and ability to sort through all the links, on others I could only clean up your edits.
Regardless of the appropriateness of other links on an article, systematic addition of links to a particular site in order to promote that site is considered spamming and is not allowed. Also, adding a link to a site you are connected with is not appropriate on Wikipedia. Editors who wish to add link to sites they are involved with are asked to place the link on the article talk page and request other editors of the article to review it and add it if they think it appropriate. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. Being a popular website many people want to link their sites from Wikipedia, however this can have a negative impact on our articles. Our guidelines and policies are designed to increase our ability to build a GFDL encyclopedia, careful monitoring of external links is a significant part of this. To this end we strongly encourage you to add content to articles rather than external links. -- Siobhan Hansa 04:12, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
Hi Pr unni. I need to maintain a list so I can ensure the issue does not repeat itself. But I've moved the page to a different URL and changed mentions of spam. -- Siobhan Hansa 20:57, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
