Help please. I have recently created a page for Newburgh Lancashire. If I search under Newburgh Lancashre, the page appears. If however I simply search under Newburgh, an index appears to all the Newburghs in the UK and when I click on the Newburgh Lancashire link a page comes up saying the page has not been created. What do I need to do to corrent this please?

Thanks

The problem is that the link at Newburgh points to Newburgh, Lancashire but the article you created has a slightly different title, Newburgh Lancashire (no comma). That said, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion because it is a copyright violation. We cannot accept content copied from other websites. You are of course welcome to rewrite the article in your own words, and cite external websites as references. Dave6 talk 12:48, 14 February 2007 (UTC) reply

Thanks. I still do not understand why the page appears if you type in Newburgh Lancashire. Also I am the author of the Newburgh website and am therefore happy for the text to bear similarities. It is in fact a summary of material that appears on the website, rather than a copy. Does this help?

From Wikipedia:Copyright problems:

Copyright owners who submitted their own work to Wikipedia: If you submitted work to Wikipedia which you had previously published (especially online), and your submission was marked as a potential infringement of copyright, stating that you are the copyright holder of the work on the article's talk page helps, but will not likely prevent deletion. • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en at wikimedia dot org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation.
