Wishing you all the very best for the season. Thanks for all your help and support this year. Merry Christmas and may Santa be good to you! – Jivesh boodhun ( talk) 06:30, 24 December 2010 (UTC) Click to play! |
Please i need your help. How can i re-write this "Jean and producer Toby Gad were strolling in Times Square when the former saw hot dogs that enticed her being peddled on the street. Jean was lamenting about how she was trying to stay away from the hot dogs and noted how if she were a boy, she could probably eat one without regrets. That led to her musing on how if she were a boy, she would be much better than her ex. Gad asked Jean to repeat her sentiments into a recorder. They returned to the studio and wrote the song in 15 minutes. Jean recorded her version of the song which was rejected by her record company."

Hello Nathan. I was wondering if we could start working on TGIFY two or three days later. What do you say? I'll give you my e-mail when you're ready with scans. Hope it's not time consuming :) Novice7 | Talk 11:46, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
Yes, I'll do a copy-edit, no problem at all. It may not be until next week at the earliest, but I'll definitely do it. -- Sarastro1 ( talk) 20:30, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
Yes, and I even got mail from RIANZ with all Celine's certifications. But that was around 2005. I tried the same this year for Mariah but they ignored me. -- Max24 ( talk) 17:18, 31 December 2010 (UTC)

Hello Nathan! Welcome back! I read about your sister's marriage. I'm happy to hear that :) Btw, I finished up an article and am ready to start work on TGIFY. As a matter of fact, I found some interesting info about that (copyright infringement suit and others). And, "Brit" is back! HIAM is amazing!!! I hope she would dance like she used to do before, in the music video. Novice7 | Talk 12:26, 11 January 2011 (UTC)

Seems like you're back Nathan. I was waiting for you to come, so that we can start on the article. Where can we put the details of the lawsuit? On Background maybe? Also, can you please take a look at My Heart Is Calling and leave your comments at my talk? I read that Whitney is gonna start working on a new album by June. I hope she returns to singing like she used to during Waiting to Exhale - Preacher's Wife era (atleast). Novice7 | Talk 14:30, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
(→) Yes, I noticed. Not only for new songs. But for credited samples, and even covers some file lawsuit :O I noticed that Mimi's voice is a little bit thin right now, and I'm pretty sure she would come back like EOM era! About Brit, some people get jealous when others use their material and gain sucess, lol :| Novice7 | Talk 17:04, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
How is everything Nathan? I have a suggestion posted at Talk:List of best-selling music artists. Your thoughts would be appreciated.-- Harout72 ( talk) 20:30, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
Hi there. I don't really know what's going on between the two of you, and nor do I particularly care, but perhaps we can all take a deep breath and tone it down as the personal attacks seem to be getting out of hand on both sides. Maybe take a walk? Thanks. Zachlipton ( talk) 09:32, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
Hey Nathan, yeah I think we'll implement the percentages into the template one of these days. The certification levels are posted at the footnotes of The list of best-selling music artists. For the Netherlands see this official document I've received from NVPI, for Sweden see this official document, for Argentina they have their levels posted on their site, Switzerland has their levels posted too at the top of their page. For Austria, I still don't have any official documents, but based on my research, before approximately 2001 the levels were Platinum=50,000, Gold=25,000 both for albums and singles. Approximately, since 2001-2004 they were Platinum=40,000, Gold=20,000. Since 2005-2006 Platinum=30,000, Gold=15,000. Since 2007-present for albums Platinum=20,000, Gold=10,000, the levels for singles have not changed since approximately 2005. Hope all this helps:).-- Harout72 ( talk) 20:19, 27 January 2011 (UTC)
The article seems fine as a whole, but I don't feel I have the qualifications to comment on its overall quality. I'm more of a chart enthusiast, so I pay more attention to those sections and can provide some comments there. First, both the "Chart performance" and "Charts" sections contain info on certifications as well. A song's certification level has nothing to do with chart performance and so the header titles should reflect what's being presented. Some of the chart and certifications are not sourced within the "Chart performance", so just use <refs> from the "Charts" section to note them as well.
I don't really like the use of actual charts as sources, but I guess if it provides the information being claimed it serves its purpose. For example, the Canada charts indicate its debut position and in which week it reached #1, but the 17 week run is not confirmed by the chart source. It says it was on the chart for 17 weeks at the time, but how do I know it didn't stay on the chart for another week or two? I believe the UK chart info provides info similarly – I don't see where it says it stayed on the chart there for 12 weeks.
Finally, and I know that articles have received GA rating with them, I don't know how articles pass a GA review that have succession boxes. As is, you would have to source the dates it was at #1, each week that it was at #1, and each of its predecessors and successors as being #1 before and after "Vision of Love". At the very least, I think these should placed at the bottom of articles per WP:FOOTERS and, at best, should be removed altogether. -- Starcheerspeaksnewslostwars ( talk) 17:57, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
Okay, I wanna let you know that I'll complete it soon. I couldn't find much reviews for the song. I'm still searching. Also, do you happen to know any source for Canadian singles chart (2000). I couldn't find that too :( Novice7 | Talk 14:47, 29 January 2011 (UTC)

Hi Nathan, and thanks for your review of the above FLC. If it's not too much trouble, do you think you can cap your resolved comments (using something like Template:Resolved comments)? That would make the nomination page shorter and easier for me to read. Thanks, Dabomb87 ( talk) 23:20, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
Hey Nathan :) I hid some of the non free media (album art and song samples) on your TEOM sandbox. Hope its okay. I hope you're not mad, as I've not completed TGIFY yet. I'll get on it, I promise. And, when EOM works begin, I'll do Fly Like a Bird :) Novice7 | Talk 06:09, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
