Hi Onthedot, and congrats for writing such a long page as you have with Michael Axel.

However, I have a couple of concerns. First, it reads as a borderline advert/resume/CV for Mr. Axel. Do you work for/with him, or are you Mr. Axel?

Second, the images included on the page show Mr. Axel's work, but most are found on flickr and have copyright issues (see WP:NFC). They will probably be deleted unless Mr. Axel explicitly releases most rights to the photos- not just for showing on Wikipedia either. Basically, copyright issues are pretty sticky. This makes me think the remaining pictures are questionable- such as File:MichaelAxelPortrait.jpg.

Finally, there are only minimal hints that Wikipedia's guidelines about notability of individuals are being met. Reliable sources need to be given to establish notability (see also WP:GNG), and also to back up information about Mr. Axel, since he falls under the umbrella of WP:BLP. For instance, generally most information about him needs to be sourced, especially birthdate, personal life, and things like that.

The article, with these issues, may be at risk of deletion. I'd recommend having an admin (like me) userify the article (move it to User:Onthedot/Michael Axel) so you can work on it without being bothered with as many rules such as notability. If you would like me to do that, let me know. tedder ( talk) 22:32, 22 October 2009 (UTC) reply

Proposed deletion of Michael Axel

The article Michael Axel has been proposed for deletion. The proposed-deletion notice added to the article should explain why.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{ dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{ dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Katr67 ( talk) 23:03, 22 October 2009 (UTC) reply
